EUROPEAN SUMMER PROGRAM
SCHOLARSHIP
OVERVIEW
The European Summer Program (ESP) is a four-week training course for international students who want to discover France and Europe. It has taken place in June and July every year since 2001, in Lille, in the North of France and will celebrate its 15th anniversary in 2016!
4 programs are available for any student looking for the right summer abroad program:
• Arts, Social Science and Business program: students take intensive French language classes in the mornings and their chosen elective, taught in English, in the afternoon.
• Science and Engineering program: students attend 80 hours of tuition in English in areas such as Sustainable Development and Renewable Energy.
• "French Only" immersion program : students take an high intermediate or advanced French intensive course in the mornings + an elective, taught in French, in the afternoon.
• Graduate Law program: students take 80 hours of tuition in English about Comparative Transatlantic Law.
The program is designed as a full "package," including courses, trips in Northern France and some large European cities, accommodation, and pick-up at the train station.
The Scholarship will cover:
Tuition fees:
tuition fees and course materials 1400 €
Hospitality Package:
accommodation in student dorms, meal pass for use in the cafeteria with a 50-euro credit, an orientation program, monthly transportation pass for use on buses and metros in Lille, access to university facilities, fieldtrips to Bruges and Brussels, 5 group dinners, cultural and social activities.

Administration fees:
Non-refundable after registration 300€
The Scholarship will not cover pre-departure cost (Visa and Air Ticket) and personal expenses.
DETAIL OF THE PROGRAM
The program is held in two batches with the following detail

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To be eligible for ESP Scholarship grantee, you must be:
• Enlisted as active student in UII any major with minimum GPA 3.00
• Able to speak English actively, with minimum TOEFL score 500 (CILACS CEPT and or TOEFL
like test certificates are acceptable, with a validity period of no more than last 12 months).
• Able to submit the required documents which are:
a. Copy of National ID Card*
b. Copy of Student Card*
c. Copy of Academic Transcript*
d. Curriculum Vitae*
e. Motivation Letter*
f. Copy of CEPT/TOEFL
g. Copy of Passport
Applicants must also provide the essential documents to meet the requirements. If at least one essential document is not provided, your application will be automatically rejected.
Please put all required documents into a folder, write your full name and your student number on
the front side of the folder. Application and all attached documents must be received by the
closing date at the Warung Prancis UII.

April 29th Announcement of ESP Scholarship
April 29th – May 9th Document submission to Warung Prancis UII no later than May 9th 2016 at 11.00 am.
May 10th Announcement of shortlisted candidates to join interview
May 11th * Interview in Warung Prancis UII
May 12th * Announcement of the result of the interview
May 14th Briefing
• Shortlisted candidates for interview and Scholarship Awardee will be announced on Facebook page Warung Prancis UII and Instagram @wpuii
THE SELECTION PROCESS
Following confirmation of eligibility, applications will be shortlisted. Only shortlisted candidates are eligible for interview. The process aims to identify candidates most likely to succeed in the ESP who will then make a substantial contribution in Indonesia-France relations. Applicants will be assessed against the following criteria:
1. Academic competence;
2. Potential outcome, including contribution to Indonesia-France relations; and
3. Personal leadership attributes.
