Keywords: Educandy, Improving Vocabulary, Vocabulary.

Vocabulary is the basis of all language. In learning a second language, vocabulary is extremely important. Students can enhance their listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities by having a large vocabulary. This study aims to measure the effectiveness of using educandy application to improve vocabulary for second grade student of junior high school.

The subjects in this study were students of MTs Al Muniroh Ujungpangkah Gresik in class VIII for the academic year 2021/2022. The research uses quantitative methods. The data of this research were collected using pre-test and post-test. Pre-test is used to know the students vocabulay mastery before getting treatments. Then, post-test is used to know the students vocabulary mastery after getting treatments by using educandy application.

The data analyzed by using ANCOVA in SPSS 25.0 version for windows.

The findings show that the value of Sig. class variables. We can see that Sig = 0.11 > 0.05 So, Ha is rejected and H0 is accepted: "There is no significant difference between students who are treated with educandy application and students who are not treated with educandy application."

Educandy application are effective or not, we can see in the output Parameter Estimates. What we see is the value of the Class variable Sig. With Sig = 0.11

> 0.05. So it can be concluded that educandy application is not effective for teaching vocabulary learning in class.
