7. CourseDescription

:

Physiology and Reproduction Technology courses are held by face-to-face and practicum for one semester. In the face to face was discussed about the history of reproduction and the ways of animal breeding, anatomy and genitalia physiology of livestock, poultry, dogs and cats, semen collection techniques, semen and sperm properties, processing techniques and preservation of semen, reproductive endocrine, reproduction cycle of livestock, anatomy and physiology of udder gland, gestation and birth physiology in livestock, artificial insemination techniques, synchronisation and superovulation techniques and embryo transfer. At the end of the course, the mastery of the material was evaluated with multiple choice exams and descriptions (essay)

Course Learning Outcome : Students are able to understand and explain the importance and usefulness of physiology and reproductive technology in livestock, poultry, dogs and cats as well as artificial insemination techniques, synchronization of lust, superovulation and transfer of embryos to livestock

14. Learning achievment :

After attending this lecture, Students can explain the importance and usefulness of physiology and reproductive technology in livestock, poultry, dogs and cats as well asartificial insemination technique and reproduction technology in livestock. Specifically it can be described as follows:

1. Students Knowing the rules to be followed and obeyed together during lectures, Knowing the meaning and scope: course history, lecturers and course scedule; Course benefits and descriptions; Course objectives; Assessment and evaluation of courses; Other explanations like for example, reading materials and tasks

2. Students can explain of Reproduction history, Sistem of breeding, organ for fertilisation, Embriology organ genital,development of IB in Indonesia History of artificial insemination

3. Students can explain the Anatomy and Physiology of Genital Male, the form of Gonad (testes), Genital Tracts, External genitalia, Histology, Vascularisation and Inervation, Spermatogenesis, Steroidogenesis, Male Genital Function, Penis Type, Ejaculatory Mechanism. Abnormalities of spermatozoa morphology, Biology of spermatozoa

4. Students can explain Gonad (ovary), genital tract, external genitalia, histology, vascularization and inervation, folliculogenesis, steroidogenesis, female genital function, uterine type. Chemical of semen and plasma seminalis, Sperm Metabolisme, Semen characteristic on livestock

5. Students can explain the Gonads (ovaries and testes), the reproductive tracts of, dog and cat, histological, vascularization and inervation, , endocrine reproduction of dog and cat poultry. History of Frozen Semen, Types of Frozen Semen, Profits and Losses

6. Students can explain the history of hormones, the definition of hormones and endocrine

glands, hormonal mechanisms, hypothalamic-pituitary-gonad axis, hormonal

15. Course Benefit

Physiology is the study of body functions and functions of body parts as well as biophysical and biochemical processes that occur in the body. Reproductive physiology will discuss more specifically about the reproductive function of the reproductive organs. The reproduction technology is an effort to improve reproduction efficiency in order to optimilize the reproduction function in livestock.

Also studied are general basics about the physiology and anatomy of the reproductive organs in livestock as well as techniques for animal reproduction engineering. Knowledge of the reproductive structure of livestock provides a wealth of information about its function.

That's why Fistekpro lectures provide knowledge about: reproduction history and animal breeding, anatomy and physiology of the genitalia of livestock, poultry, dogs and cats, cement collection techniques, cement and sperm properties, processing techniques and preservation of cement, endocrine reproduction , reproduction cycle in livestock, artificial insemination techniques, reproduction techniques in livestock. Being in the lab will do a collection of cement, processing and preservation of cement and embryo transfer

.

16. Lecture Strategy

Students learn in advance the prerequisite courses that have been followed and read the first material teaching / hand out that has been determined.

Lecturers only give outlines of the content of the subject or sub-subject or provide a

normal and abnormal example of reproductive physiology as well as examples of reproductive

technologies that can be applied to livestock, then students are expected to ask things that are less clear and also answer lecturer questions.

To the students will also be given the tasks in addition to mid exams and final exams semester

Assessment System

Each test is given a raw score in the form of 0 s / d 100. Specifically for the final score, the assessment is given in 7 grades, ie : A, AB, B, BC, C, D dan E.

Final Valueof a course is determined by the combined evaluation of all examination scores

held by the lecturer concerned. As for examples of test load (quiz), (structured task), (practice test), (softskill), (UTS), (UAS) adalah 1,5 : 1,5 : 2 : 1 : 2 : 3.
