in1913 when he secured a very few specimens, but during 1914
it
occurred
in largenumbers and a
fine serieswas
sent tome
for study.The
species of thisgenus
arevery
striking inappearance due
tothe
lines of ciliaon the
forewing and
alsotothe row
of bristleson the under
side ofthe wing
justback
ofthe marginal

purple withsome
greenish tints; face with adeep crossfurrow infront ofanterior ocellus;head withcrowded
fine punctures, those abovecross furrow coarser; antennaebrown, scape
and
pedicelpurple; firstand
secondjoints offunicle subequal in length, eachabout oneand
one-halftimes aslongasthe pedicel; thirdand
fourth joints successively shorter, together about as long as the club;meso- notum
withfinethimble-like punctures, thoseonthescutellumfinerthan on scutum;propodeum
