KASMAWATI, 2014. THE EFFECT OF TEACHER’S MOTIVATION ON THE STUDENT’S CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT AT MADRASAH ALIYAH MUHAMMADIYAH BANTAENG. Supervised By Abd. Rahman Getteng and M. Ide Said D.M.
The research aimed (1) to describe teacher’s motivation in carrying out their duties in Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah Bantaeng, (2) to investigate the implementation og student’s character development at Muhammadiyah Bantaeng Aliyah Madrasah, (3) to determine the influense of teacher’s motivation for the student’s character development at Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah Bantaeng.
This research used quantitative methods with an explanatory approach.
The research population was all teachers, amounting to 31 people. The research sample also totaled 31 people, because this research was the research sample. Data collected by using questionnaires and interviews were reinforced by the results of observation and documentation. Data analiysis techniques in this research using descriptive analysis and simple regression analysis.
The results showed that (1) teacher’s motivation in carrying out their profession in Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah Bantaeng was categorized very well, both in the learning process as well as increased performance owned, (2) the student’s character development at Muhammadiyah Bantaeng Aliyah Madrasah was the category of very good. This was evident from the pattern of development as well as the efforts made bay teachers and other personnel in developing character of students who already exist, and (3) there was a positive and significant effect of teacher motivation for the development of student character ini Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah Bantaeng. Teacher’s motivation contributed very high to variation character development of students ini Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah Bantaeng, ammounting to 88,9% of the variation ups and downs of student character development at Madrasah Aliyah Bantaeng Muhammadiyah can be predicted by the teacher’s motivation.
