The study suggested criteria for designing effective instructional materials. Among these are durability, low maintenance cost, good storage mechanisms, easy maintenance and manipulation by students, and easy to improvise. Furthermore, one important characteristic that instructional material should have is that it should appeal to students’ interests which will more likely develop their intellectual capacity. In consideration of the mentioned criteria, members of the school community including
students, teachers, school heads, and parents will benefit as it will meet modern or meet educational needs.
