Herrick Library is moving!

Herrick's renovation is nearing completion. Herrick will be providing services in Scholes Library through the end of summer school, Friday, Aug. 3.

Herrick will be closed from Saturday, Aug. 4-Sunday, Aug. 12 and only limited services will be

available in the Herrick building from Monday, Aug. 13-Friday, Aug. 17 to allow the staff to move back and set up their offices and the public service areas.

Herrick will reopen on Tuesday, Aug. 21 after AU's Beginning-of-the-Academic Year Breakfast.

Thanks for your understanding as we prepare to serve you even better in our new facility. These dates may be subject to change depending on construction progress.

New Internship & Co-op Coordinator at the CDC

The Career Development Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Jill Ninos as a the new Internship & Co-op Coordinator. She is replacing Kyle Torok who accepted a position with Georgia State University.

Ms. Ninos possesses a master's degree in Student Personnel Administration from Buffalo State College.

In addition, she has experience working in career services at Nazareth College and St. John Fisher College.

Firewood and invasive insects

Don't Move Firewood - you could be killing our trees!

New York's forests are under attack from numerous invasive exotic insect pests. In years past, we have been hit with Chestnut blight, European gypsy moth, Dutch elm disease and Beech bark disease, all with devastating results. Recently, we have discovered Asian long-horned beetles, Hemlock wooly adelgids, Pine shoot beetles and Sirex woodwasps infesting New York's urban and rural forests and killing thousands of trees.
