Statement of Purpose:
What does this team do? Why does it exist?
The Archives Team attempts to bridge the activities of the University Archives and the College Archives by facilitating the sharing of current projects, policies, procedures, forms, research questions, and collection information. The team members act as resources for each other and work together to build awareness of and advocate for the collections and services of the two repositories through relationship building, marketing/PR and general outreach to the campus, alumni and Alfred community.

Item 1 Learn about the collections, policies, procedures, work flows, etc. of each archive
Item 2 Create a shared drive for departmental documents
Item 3 Meet with the Digital Projects and the Scholarly Communications Teams to define roles and areas of overlap
Item 4 Submit a SCRLC grant for digitizing audiocassettes
Item 5 Review and update policies to create shared policies for both repositories
Item 6 Re-brand as the Alfred University Archives for terms of promotion and identification on policies and other shared material
