Advance Notice of Banner Down Time - Monday, Nov. 17
Both Banner INB and BannerWeb will not be accessible for three days in November - Saturday, Nov.
15 through and including most of Monday, Nov. 17.
We are at a key stage in our migration from Banner 7 to Banner 8 - moving our production database from our old VMS system to a new LINUX system. This is a major move and will require 2-3 days of down time to migrate data and compile forms/programs with the help of our technical partners, SICAS and ITEC.
We appreciate your patience as we migrate Banner to a new operating system, and we are hopeful that this advanced notice will allow you to plan alternative activities for Monday, Nov. 17.
We will monitor the progress of the migration and will let you know through campus e-mail when it is again available on Monday.
Once again, thank you for your patience as we make this major step toward Banner 8. And a special thank you to all of you that have helped with testing, your support and help is greatly appreciated.
