INDIANA UNIVERSITY SUMMER SCHOOL This past summer your editor was fortunate eno' gh to be able to ·1ttend surruner school on the Bloomington campus.

Many of the students enrolled in the graduate division of the School of Health Physical Education ~nd Recreation are from out of state and have studied at one or scve. al other universities. It wo..s always gratifying to hcn.r these students comparing Indiana University with the other schools with which they were famil- iar. It seemed to be~the unanimous opinion thJ.t the work, although more difficult here, 11ns more worthwhile. The interest and friendliness that the entire staff demonstrates tow~rd the students was always mentioned. It is to the credit of Dr. Patty, our Dean, and the faculty that the school has evolved such high st~.ndu.rds .J.nd enjoys such an enYi·- able reputation. Dr. Patty is still act- ing as Athletic Director in addition to cc:rrying out his d.lties ;.nd responsibilities as De~n of the School of Health, Physic~l Educ~tion and Hecren.tion. He is a busy man these days.
