Turner's Spitzer, Bauer and Gollmer were appointed and, together with the president of the convention, charged with creating the rules of procedure for. Complaints committee f:.ncl apps.ls: Lewison, Kuhm and Claussen. The rules of procedure of the Boston Convention were adopted. The passage of the 15th Amendment to the United States Constitution allows us to salute our Confederation for the victory they have won.

It is a matter of fact that our Turner classes, especially the girls' classes, might be much more effective and popular, if the Turners themselves would help to organize and improve the same, and be more impressed upon its desirability. . . The National Turnfest at Chicago, which has contributed much to the advancement of our Turnerism, had a Vorort representative present. The activities of the Turner societies in the name of mental culture seem to be limited to lectures and debates which are promoted by the so-called Debating Clubs.

The sooner we get definitive proof. At this point it will be better for the future of the Turnerbund. That the solution of the slave question and the equality of about eleven citizens of the republic is now a national law; this cannot be an A. burning question more for the Turner societies. Believing that the delegates of this Convention know little of the importance of their action and knowledge; that their joint efforts will yield the desired results for the Turnerbund g'Ood.

Taking this into account, we have lost two associations and 208 members. The Turner Society of Detroit and Ripley resigned.
