The primary purpose of the research was to find out the influence of the use of picture story book on the reading comprehension attendance grade of SMAN 1 KIBANG. To consider whether there is a positive and significant correlation between the use of picture story book on the students' reading comprehension on the in the academic year of the author, analyze the data using Chi-square. This means that there is a positive and significant influence of the student's perception on the use of picture story book for reading comprehension in the tenth grade of the class X MIA 4 SMA N 1 KIBANG in the Academic Year of 2017/2018.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh buku bergambar terhadap keterampilan membaca siswa dan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh buku bergambar terhadap keterampilan membaca siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yang dilakukan di SMAN 1 KIBANG pada tahun pelajaran 2016/2017 terhadap kurang lebih 120 siswa yang terbagi dalam 4 kelas. Peneliti memilih satu kelas sebagai sampel penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas X MIA 4 yang terdiri dari 30 siswa.

Untuk mengintegrasikan apakah ada hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara pengaruh penggunaan buku cerita bergambar dengan kemampuan membaca siswa kelas X MIA 4 tahun pelajaran, penulis menganalisis data dengan menggunakan Chi-Square. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Hi diterima dan terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara gaya belajar siswa terhadap hasil belajar bahasa Inggris siswa kelas X MIA 4 SMA N 1 KIBANG tahun pelajaran 2016/2107.

Traditional measures of reading comprehension are limited in that they prepare a common indicator of how the student understands to test and they are not based on experts' knowledge of what good readers understand to do. Choice questions focus on detail and a more general aspect of the text.19 The correct answer is not always shorter and longer than the distractor.

From the above explanation, it can be concluded that the picture book emphasizes reading. 46 . of the lesson in quite a large number of possibilities and can be absorbed by students. Using media storybooks in the classroom can help the students become more interested in learning English, especially reading.

Teachers can use a variety of strategies to support the children's understanding of the text, which in turn will increase their participation in the lesson. While you are reading, invite the children to place the props in the center of the circle at the appropriate times. Picture storybook is one of the media to improve reading comprehension for young children; one of the suitable mediums for young children at the beginner level is a picture book.

On the basis of explanation above, it can be formulated that the theoretical overview is if picture story book as media properly used in teaching. So if the use of media picture storybook that is well implemented, the students' reading comprehension will be better and if the use of picture storybook is not well implemented, the student's reading comprehension will also be low. Referring to the paradigm above, if the use of picture storybook as a media is properly used in the teaching and learning process of English so that students' reading comprehension ability is high, it means that there is positive and significant influence.

If the use of picture book as a medium is not properly used in the process of teaching and learning English, so that the reading comprehension of the students is low, it means that there is no positive and significant influence. Ha: the use of picture books is positive and important for the reading comprehension ability of tenth graders of SMA N 1 KIBANG in the academic year 2015/2016. Ho: in the 10th graders of SMA N 1 KIBANG in the academic year 2015/2016, the use of fairy tale picture books is not positive and important for the ability of reading comprehension.

The researcher uses quasi-experimental design to know the impact of using picture story book on student's reading performance through a treatment. According to Arikunto, the population is all the object of the research.35 The population of this research is the tenth grade students of SMA N 1 KIBANG in the academic year 2016/2017. For this, the sample of this research is taken from the tenth grade population and focuses on the MIA 4 class of SMA N 1 KIBANG in the academic year 2016/2017 which consists of 20 students.

So the researcher uses purposive sampling technique because the researcher selects the class which is still poor in reading comprehension. The dependent variable is a measure of the effect (if any) of the independent variable.40 The dependent variable of this research is reading comprehension ability (Y). Reading comprehension skills are activities that require readers to read the text closely in order to understand the meaning of the selected reading.

With each question consisting of a mark of 20, which is made up of questions of question 5, so that the maximum mark is 100 and the minimum mark is 0.

According to Arikunto, observation is an activity of observing using senses.43 Observation is the method of collecting data for the purpose of observation to explain the condition of SMA N 1 KIBANG, which can understand the situation of teachers and state employees, students and includes learning activities. In addition, the researcher also observed the teacher's performance in using the picture book on the learning process of reading, especially in the tenth grade of SMA 1 KIBANG. The researcher used the documentation method to get detailed information about the situation in the school, such as the teacher, the employee and the organizational structure at SMA N 1 KIBANG.

Now, in SMA N 1 Kibang there are 31 rooms that are used for the teaching process, they are 19 rooms for classes, 2 rooms for the principal and vice principal, one for the office, one laboratory computer, one laboratory science, one library and toilets. SMA N 1 Kibang has a permanent infrastructure which is divided into several rooms to support the teaching learning process, such as The total number of SMA N 1 Kibang students is 380 students and below is the student situation table based on gender and level class.

The condition of teachers and officials in SMA N 1 KIBANG in the academic year 2015/2016. SMA N 1 KIBANG has professional teachers and officers from different universities and also from different educational levels. This is due to a better quality of graduates from SMA N 1 KIBANG who must acquire special skills in various majors.

The significant influence of the use of picture story book on the understanding of red in the tenth grade of SMA N 1 Kibang in the academic year of 2015/2016. It can be deduced that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, this means that there was positive influence of the use of picture story book on the reading comprehension at SMA N 1 KIBANG.

Discussion

Reading comprehension is the process of getting information from the written language in order to get a meaningful message, knowledge, suggestion sent by the writer. Therefore, the teacher must be able to choose the right media and must be creative to encourage the students to understand the reading text by using the right media. In this research, the author implemented a media using picture story book to achieve the teaching learning objectives.

The result indicated that students' ability to understand the reading text improved after they were taught using jigsaw technique.
