Personality development is defined as a process of enhancing one personality.
Personality development sessions guide an individual as to how she/he can develop personality. Broadly there are five parameters which describe an individual personality. These five dimensions are also called as big five factors and the model is referred to as five factor model also abbreviated as FFM.
The analysis of the main character is one of the important aspects of fiction and through character the researcher thought is expressed. The study is interesting to be analyzed because the main characters in film can make some improvement on the other
aspects, such as the method of characterization and personality traits.
This film has many moral values and so many characters in this film. It can make the readers feel curious about the main character and kind of the character in the film.
Film is one of interesting media that gives the audience benefit such as can reduce stress and makes our happy with the genre of the film. Most films have a dedicated person for each division. Someone on board will be responsible for the lighting, another for the sound, a director, a costume designer, a script supervisor, a cinematographer, production designer and after the principal photography is complete the post-production team will get to work. Each department will focus on its specialty and add something different to the production.
Based from Klarer (2004:57) film is recorded and preserved rather than individually staged in the unique and unrepeatable manner of a theatre performance. It means film is the group stage that not is for only individual
performance it made with group or many people.
According to Boggs & Petrie (2008:3) film is recognized as a unique and powerful art form on a part with painting, sculpture, music, literature, and drama. Film is the media for healing and interesting the audience.
In conclusion, film is the media that conclude many arts and has unique performance that can make audiences are interesting about the story behind the film. Nowadays, watching film has much benefit some people watching film for taking some moral values in our life that can be seen in film. Some people watching film to enrich their knowledge about culture, social phenomena, and what is happen in this world. Film has many special effect and genre so the audience can choose what the film that they want to watch.
According to Kardos (2013: 43), As you go about developing your characters, remember that the purpose and the challenge of characterization is to create fictional people who seem as
flesh-and- blood as the people we know in our real lives. This is no easy task, because what makes people flesh-and- blood, above all else, is that they can’t ever be reduced to a set of characteristics. People, no matter how much we know about them, are mysterious, unpredictable, surprising creatures.
According to Baldick (2001:37), characterization is the representation of persons in narrative and dramatic works.
This may include direct methods like the attribution of qualities in description or commentary, and indirect (or 'dramatic') methods inviting readers to infer qualities from characters' actions, speech, or appearance.
According to Pickering and Hoeper in Wulansari (1981:27), there are two kinds of method of characterization: (a) Telling, (b) Indirect, dramatic method.
According to Boggs and Petrie (2008: 60), if characters are truly credible, it is almost impossible to remain completely neutral toward them.
characterization through appearance,
characterization through dialogue, characterization through external action, characterization through internal action, characterization through reactions of others characters, characterization through contrast: dramatic foils, characterization through choice of name and characterization through caricature and leitmotif.
Personality traits reflect people’s characteristic patterns of thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. An individual’s behaviour toward others, attitude, characteristics, mindset make his personality. Personality development is defined as a process of enhancing one personality. Personality development sessions guide an individual as to how she/he can develop personality.
According to Jeronimus (2015:10), personality traits refer to confined suits of cognitive behavioural traits that vary consistently amongst individuals, but are maintained through time and across context. For example, every animal differs in term of boldness, aggressiveness, activity level, cooperativeness, fearfulness, dispersal or
exploration tendencies, docility, impulsivity, sociability or responsiveness to environmental stimuli.
There are many ways to measure personality; psychologists have mostly given up on trying dividing humanity neatly into types. Instead, they focus on personality traits. According to Costa and McCrae in African Journal of Business Management (2013: 1), the big five personality dimensions can be divided into five factors: Extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, openness, and neuroticism.
RESEARCH METHOD
This research is a kind of qualitative research that design in content analysis. According to Moleong (2010:4), qualitative research method is a research procedure which produced descriptive data in the form of words written or spoken of the person who can be observed. This research is appropriate with this design, because this research uses film as a media in this research.
Film is a spoken person who can be observed.
In collecting data, the researcher used note taking technique acquiring the data, the researcher observed the film then identify. According to Endaswara (2013:163), there are several recording instructions that need to be done in literary research: a. need training and preparation of a researcher to be able to record carefully b. note things that portray messages and symbolic meanings c. data recorded with difficult words and possible semantic meaning.
In note taking, has been accompanied by data selection or data reduction. In analysing the data, the researcher chose pragmatic approach with content analysis in method. Ratna (2015:71) stated that in pragmatic approach, the author is the subject as creator, but continuously its functions are removed, even at the time that the author is abolished.

Margaret : Look at their reading scores.
And if I give your kids these books,
I'll never see them again.
If I do, they'll be damaged.
This is the data for neuroticism :
Eva : White people always wanting their respect like they deserve it for free.
Erin : I am.
Erin : I think what's happening here is really exciting, don't you?
Erin : I know I have a lot to learn as a teacher
Erin : I am, and I really want to be here.
Erin : I'm a teacher.
It doesn't matter what color I am.
Eva : It's all about color.
It's about people deciding what you deserve, about people wanting what they don't deserve, about whites thinking they run this world no matter what.

From the data, Erin is sympathetic and cares for her students she always try to makes her students not be discrimination people, especially about racist in that school. For make her students be better she must divorce with her husband, because her husband felt Erin always think about her student and not him. Erin sympathetic and care is so important in this film, because the audience can take her personality such as she is so bright, never give up and cares for other people.
