Sometimes users use bilingualism or multilingualism to arouse the interest of followers, which is called code-mixing and code-switching. The researcher is interested in the research entitled: "an analysis of the use of code-mixing and code-switching on instagram by students of the English program at iain pare-pare" B. The study provides detailed theory, examples and data related to code-switching. and code mixing.
This study is directed as one of the references for the students while studying about Code-Switching and Code-Mixing.

For collecting data, the author conducted observation through these steps as follows, the first read instagramer's status and comments, then select the Indonesian-English and other codes conversion by capturing the status and comments, then write down the data , finally arranges data into various parts based on classification.
Procedure of Data Analysis
According to Bull explains in Oxford, as quoted by Rosyida, “To classify is to arrange something into groups according to the characteristics they have in common.”46 After categorizing, the researcher classifies each Code-Switching and Code-Mixing according to the form, function and reason. The final step in analyzing this data is to create an account. After performing the classification, researchers describe and analyze the data classification for research form, code-switching function, and code-mixing used by English education students in their status on Instagram. Bungin states that distributive frequency is "distributive frequency data," mixing data with frequency, but calculating distributive frequency data means that frequency is calculated in percent.

Finding
Meanwhile, Code-Mixing, the researcher found that there are 7 data from students on Instagram, it contained three types of Code-Mixing; there were 3 data insertion of words (C data insertion of sentence (C2)14.3%. So it can be concluded that the status of students on instagram using the type of code switching type inter-sentence switching found 9 data or 42, 9 In the context of code mixing, the researcher found that from the students' instagram status, the code used the mxing type of word insertion (C1) 14.3% and sentence insertion (C2) 14.3%. a) Finding data code mixing on the students' instagram.
Of three types of code-switching, the researcher found only two types of code-switching in students' captioned Instagram. Discussion
The researcher found the type code running within the sentence in four captions on the students' Instagram. Suwito suggests that code mixing is divided into six types based on their structure.18 There are word embeddings, phrase embeddings, baster embeddings, repetition embeddings, idiom/expression embeddings, and clause embeddings. Out of six types of code mixing, there are only two types of code mixing found by students on instagram.
Meanwhile, the researcher found that there are 7 data from students on Instagram that include three types of code mixing; there were 3 word data insertions (data C, phrase insertion (C2)14.3% and 1 data. In addition, data analysis of the 7 code-mixing units on the student's Instagram found only three of the six types of code-mixing, the guy had found 3 word insertions phrase insertions (14.3%) and 1 hybrid insertions (4.7%) Out of 21 data of Student's instagram, quote (F1) found 1 data or 4.7% in code switching, Addressee specification (F2 ) 3 data or 14.3% when switching one code and mixing two codes Intermet (F4) 3 data or 14.3% when switching one code and mixing two codes Message qualification (F5) 5 data or 23.9% when switching three codes and two code mixing, Personalization and objectification (F6) 1 data or 4.7% in code switching and Facility of express (F7) 8 data or 38.1% in seven code switching and one code mixing.
