I am writing to express my interest in the Program Impact Manager position at Monash University as advertised. With extensive experience leading high-profile projects of varying complexity and size, I am confident in my ability to drive the delivery of impactful programs focused on the interrelationship between the ocean and climate change. My background aligns well with the responsibilities outlined for this role, and I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to Climateworks' vision and strategic priorities.
In my previous roles, I have successfully led diverse program teams, managed complex projects, and engaged with a wide range of stakeholders across government, business, and academia. For instance, during my tenure with the Effective Collaborative Action (ECA) program initiative by UNDP, I contributed significantly to the Siak Pelalawan Landscape Program (SPLP) as a research and product specialist. My work involved developing sustainable agricultural practices and conservation techniques, which are essential for addressing climate change impacts.
I am particularly drawn to this role because of its focus on integrating ocean
emissions and marine nature-based solutions into countries’ climate commitments.
My academic background in Environmental Science and Development, combined with my practical experience in project management, data analysis, and community engagement, has equipped me with the skills necessary to develop viable options and pathways for these initiatives. Additionally, my experience in securing program funding will be valuable in ensuring the sustainability and scalability of the
programs.
At Monash, I am eager to leverage my leadership and people management skills to build and lead program teams that are dedicated to delivering tangible
environmental impact. I am passionate about fostering a collaborative environment where diverse perspectives are valued and integrated into our work. I am also committed to promoting diversity and inclusivity within the team and the broader community.
