(2)

STATISTIC

Statistic : (Sudjana, 1989)

Data, numbers or non numbers are listed on diagrams which tell something about some problems.

Statistics : (Sudjana, 1989)

Knowledge which is related with sampling technique for collected data, data exploration, data analysis, test of statistical hypotesis and inferensi based on test of statistical hypotesis.

(3)

STATISTIC

Example of statistic : birth statistic, death statistic, education statistic, agriculture statistics, etc.

Statistic : mean, median, standard deviation, range etc.

(4)

STATISTICS

Descriptive Statistics

In this fase, data are explorated and we make analysis without make decision.

Inductive Statistics

In this fase we make statistical hypotesis and we test this statistical hypotesis.

Inductive statistics based on descriptive statistics.

(5)

Data

Data classified to quantitative data

(numbers) and data qualitative (category).

Variable : quantitative data which the value of this data is change everytime.

discrete data : the values of these data are come from counting.

continue data : the values of these data are come from measuring : real numbers.

Qualitative data : good, bad, etc.

(6)

Internal data : data is come from own company.

External data : data is come from another source.

Given a random experiment with a sample space S . A function X, which assign to each element cЄS one and only one real number X(c) = x is called a random variable.

(7)

Suppose that we have an experiment, the outcome of which cannot predicted with certainty, but the experiment is of such a nature that the collection of every possible outcome can be describeb prior to its performance. If this kind of experiment can be repeated under same conditions, its called a

random experiment.

The collection of every possible outcome is called the experimental space or the sample space.

(8)

Population and Sample

Population :

Every possible values which is come from counting, quantitave or qualitative which characteristics of these population is complete, and we want to know the characteristics of these population.

Sample :

the parth of population which is representative.

(9)

Infinite population :

we tossed a coin and repeated many times (infinite times.

Finite population :
