Motivation
Motivation can be defined as all things that generate encouragement or enthusiasm in someone to do something.22. While extrinsic motivation means a person's main goal to undertake activities to achieve the goals beyond the learning activities themselves. It means that the students can perform their tasks consistently for a long time until they are completed.
This means that students are enthusiastic in learning activity without being asked to do so. This means that students have an interest in an activity without being asked to do so. Students do not give up easily in the face of difficulties and are responsible for success in learning.
Student motivation can be defined as the ability to achieve long- or short-term academic goals.27 During the learning process, students must be motivated to achieve the learning goals.

Vocabulary can also be interpreted as a branch of knowledge that is recognized by students because a word does not only speak about the meaning, but more about how vocabulary can be built in a language.38 In memorizing English vocabulary, students must have some motivation to improve their vocabulary. These variables are able to be measured, usually using an instrument, allowing the counted data to be evaluated using statistical techniques.39 The variables used in this research are the bilingual program as an independent variable and the students' motivation in memorizing vocabulary. English as dependent variable.
To carry out the research, the researcher did not use any method, exercise or experiment, because the bilingual program already exists in the school. Instead, the researcher chose to use a causal or ex post facto comparative design (non-experimental study). Causal-comparative research or ex post facto research is a research design that seeks to explain differences between groups by examining differences in the experiences of group members.40 The researcher conducting this research examines causality that is not addressed by the researcher.
Therefore, based on the research problem of this research, the researcher measured the effect of Bilingual Program in the memorization of vocabulary.
Sample
Population can be defined as whole objects to be studied, where the object can be living or inanimate objects, and people, where the characteristics found in them can be measured or observed. Documentation is also used to collect data related to the variable, it can be a note, printout, book, archive and so on.44. In this research, the researcher collects a student's transcript scores that are bilingual output available at the school.
The purpose that the researcher collects the students' transcript result is used to measure the variable that is the Bilingual Program as variable X. In addition, a questionnaire can be in the form of open questions or statements, which means that the respondents answer the questions of data according to their wishes. While the closed questionnaire means that the respondents answer the questions according to what is said in the list of questions given.

In this study, the researcher decided to use Cronbach's Alpha formula for internal consistency by using IBM SPSS Statistics version 25. According to Wiratna Sujarweni (2014) if the Cronbach's Alpha value is greater than 0.6 (>0.6), then the The questionnaire can be considered reliable.48. c) Normality test. In statistics, the normality test determines whether the distribution of a set of data is compatible with that of a normal distribution.
The purpose of normality test is to know whether the independent variable has normal distribution or not. In this research, the researcher applies One-Sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov formula by using IBM SPSS Statistics version 25. The data can be said to be normally distributed if the significance value is more than 0.05 (>0.05) and if the significance value is less than 0.05 ( <0.05), the data can be said to be abnormally distributed.
In this research, the researcher conducts a linearity test using IBM SPSS Statistics version 25.

SMP Plus Darus Sholah Jember is a school under the auspices of Darus Sholah Islamic Boarding School which is located in Moh. SMP Private Plus Darus Sholah was established on Rajab 27 1407 Hijri or February 6, 1997 AD by Dr. The total number of teachers in SMP Plus Darus Sholah is 56 and the total number of students is 715, which are 7 classes are 240 students, 8 classes are 257 students and 9 classes are 218 students.
SMP Plus Darus Sholah Jember has 24 classrooms, 2 teacher offices, 1 principal's office, 1 structural room, 2 computer labs, 1 science lab, 1 OSIS room, 1 counseling room and 1 central mosque. In addition, SMP Plus Darus Sholah has various extracurriculars including English Club/English Talent, Volleyball, Calligraphy, Scouts, Indoor Soccer, Cooking, Maths and Science (MIPA), Journalism, Hadrah, Tilawah Quran and Martial Arts. The researcher conducted this research in SMP Plus Darus Sholah Jember and the sample was taken 58 students as a respondent of VII C and VII D class of Bilingual Program.
The researcher gave a questionnaire to the respondents, and the questionnaire was printed to make it easier for the respondent to answer each item.

Based on the above table (Table 4.2), it can be interpreted that the lowest score is 70 and the highest score is 90. After the researcher gives the questionnaire to the respondent and prepares the data table of the questionnaire, the result of the The data tables from the questionnaire were calculated by IBM SPSS Statistics version 25. Based on table 4.5 above, it can be interpreted that the lowest score is 48 and the highest score is 68.
Based on Table 4.7 above, out of 20 items tested, 5 were invalid and 15 were valid. Based on the table 4.8 above, the result of Cronbach's Alpha value is 0.643, which means that Cronbach's Alpha value is greater than 0.6. According to Wiratna Sujarweni (2014), if the Cronbach's alpha value is greater than 0.6, the instrument can be described as reliable.51 Thus, according to the Cronbach's alpha value of this research, the research instrument can be described as reliable.
After the bilingual score was analyzed in descriptive statistics and the questionnaire was analyzed in the validity test and reliability test, the bilingual score and the questionnaire score were.

This means that the independent variable and dependent variable of this research can be normally distributed. The result can be said if the significance value is more than 0.05 (>0.05) then the data is declared linear but if the significance value is less than 0.05. Then the data of this research can be said there is a linear correlation between independent variable (Bilingual Program) and dependent variable (students' motivation in memorizing English vocabulary).
There is an effect, either positive or negative, of Bilingual Program on students' motivation to memorize English vocabulary. Because 0.008 is less than 0.05, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (H0). This means that there is an effect of Bilingual Program on students' motivation to memorize English vocabulary at the seventh grade of SMP Plus Darus Sholah Jember.
In the regression model, the independent variable and the dependent variable of this research have an effect of 11.8%, which is a modest adjustment.
Discussion
The more students' motivation increases in memorizing English vocabulary, the more English words they know. As a result of hypothesis testing and referred to Didik Santoso and Pirman Ginting (2015)53 theory, Bilingual program as a model instruction in teaching and learning process in the classroom, the teacher instructs the students to use at least two languages. So it can be concluded that the bilingual program has an effect on students' vocabulary mastery.
According to a previous study conducted by Abdul Rahmad (2012) entitled “Effectiveness of using bilingual texts on students' vocabulary mastery of English subject in academic year SMAN 1 Tarakan, the result shown based on the mean score of the experimental group was higher than the control group , so we can say that the effect of using bilingual texts on students was significant. In addition, Sri Eka Lestari (2018) said that bilingual education can also improve students' speaking skills.54 Thus, we can say that students with bilingual education speak English better. Almost all students in the bilingual program class agreed to ask the teacher if they found a new word and did not understand its meaning, instead of looking up the meaning of the word themselves.
Also, not a few agreed that if they find a new word and do not understand its meaning, they will try to find the meaning of the word themselves before asking the teacher.
