Internships can be conducted in all government and private agencies for all legal business sectors. More than one student carries out the internship according to the rules of the agency where the internship is carried out (1 group is a maximum of 2 students). The internship lasts six months from the date the student completes the internship at a specific agency, until the submission of the report, which was presented at the seminar and approved by the mentors.

Students start a consultation with mentors and lecturers about the start of implementation and the place of practice and matters related to it. Students complete internship application letters online to create a letter of recommendation for an internship agency. The letter, signed by the head of the study program and the dean, can be collected from the study program and then submitted to the relevant internship agency.

If accepted, students begin the internship according to the predetermined schedule by submitting the internship assessment form to the destination agency. At the end of internship, students must bring the assessment results to the Study Programme. During the internship, students must consult with the Field Study Supervisor (study supervisor at the internship agency) and the Lecturer Study Supervisor (the lecturer of the Statistics Study Program appointed to supervise students' internship) by filling in the internship guidance card to analyze the data of the obtained results .

After completing the internship in an agency, students should arrange consultation with their Lecturer Supervisor.

Internship Code of Conduct

Once the consultation is completed and the results are eligible for the seminar, students submit the reports/draft and other internship seminar requirements. If students choose internal seminars, they will be charged for the seminars, while if students choose external seminars, they will not be charged. One soft file (pdf) and hard file to the Lecture Assessment Matters section of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.

If students do not complete the internship report within one month after the seminar, the internship seminar must be repeated according to the applicable rules (including payment) signed by students under the declaration letter in the Appendix.

The Content of Internship Report

  • Chapter I Introduction
  • Chapter II Company Overview This chapter contains
  • Chapter III Theoretical Framework
  • Chapter IV Research Methodology
  • Chapter V Results and Discussion
  • Conclusions and Suggestions

This chapter contains the background of the problem, problem formulation, problem limitation, research objectives and the benefits of the case study material raised as an internship report. a. The background generally reveals several phenomena related to the material raised in the internship report. This section contains problem formulations from the background and is written in the form of interrogative sentences.

The problem limitation is a research limitation regarding the software used, the data to be processed and the specificity of the processing. Writing specific material in the internship reports is generally intended to provide added value to the company with regard to statistical analysis that can be used and improve methods or even yield new methods. The benefits of writing the material chosen during the internship are generally adjusted according to the utility of the company, the development of statistics and the students themselves.

Brief history of the company, purpose of establishment, outline of the organizational structure, brief description of the components of the organizational structure and outline of the production process (if any). A theoretical framework can be qualitative or quantitative, descriptive or inferential, containing mathematical equations, formulas, diagrams and flowcharts. This chapter contains research methods, including time and place of research, data and data sources, research methods, and internship activities.

This chapter contains the results of the analysis and discussion of the case study, which includes clear and straightforward explanations about the use of statistics to analyze the materials. This chapter contains conclusions and suggestions, which are short and precise statements as the essence of the results of the material and material analysis in the previous chapter. Suggestions contain suggestions or recommendations for both authors and users of the material to follow.

The titles listed on the first cover page and the title page on the proof sheet are all in capitals, as are the titles for each chapter. The title of the internship report is written symmetrically in Times New Roman size 14, without ending with a period. They are written entirely in capital letters, printed in bold, size 14 and arranged symmetrically with a distance of 4 cm from the top edge without ending with a period.

Subchapter headings are written in bold letters starting from the left margin; only the first word begins with a capital letter without ending with a period. The page number for the internship report includes the first section and the table of contents, while the appendix page number is placed at the bottom center. If there is the same author in the bibliography, it should be written sequentially from the oldest year.

It is taken from the Gadjah Mada University Libraries Citation Writing Style Guidelines. Its purpose is to present and account for material written by students. If students wish to take an external seminar, they can apply for a seminar according to the seminar organizer.

The form, which is signed by the tutors and the head of the study program, is submitted to the Lecture Evaluation Service together with reports on practice and papers. After completing the seminar, students review their internship report and assignment, which they then submit to the control of lectures, study programs and the agency where they are doing their internship (maximum one month from the day of the seminar). Internship reports must be signed by both the mentor and the expert mentor, recognized by the head of the study program and the company where the students do the internship.

They bring the form back and submit it in the closed state to the Study Program. Those who do not return the evaluation form from the internship agency will only receive an evaluation based on weight from the mentors of the study program. The student must immediately submit a report on the completed internship to the Department for the Evaluation of Mathematics and Science Lectures, study programs and the agency.

Students who do not submit proof of submission of the internship report from the faculty library to the Assessment Affairs Board of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences will not receive a score. 3 Benefits of Statistical Analysis for the Office 0 – 35 4 Weight of Problems Chosen by Students to Analyze 0 – 35.
