At some point, they will be annoyed if they didn't look good in Instagram Story. In addition, I often delete my story if there is a friend who looks ugly and they were often annoyed that I made an Instagram story without telling them. Well, if I've rarely met the person, then I'll post an Instagram Story with them. I would like to edit my photo before uploading it to my Instagram story to achieve an aesthetic look in my photos. Instagram Story was common for people my age, so I'm not the only one using this feature.
Basically, what we do, what we say is to present our selves, and Instagram Story becomes a or the platform for people to present themselves because everyone in the world can see it. In my opinion, my Instagram Story is my feeling, my Instagram Story is related to my situation, so my Instagram Story is a part of me that I want to present to everyone and I hope they like me the way I defines myself. I feel if something is missing, but it's okay because I think at that time some of my friends are already posting Instagram Story or at least taking a picture, then I can repost it. C ONCLUSIONS
The respondent has their own different way of representing themselves through Instagram Story, but everyone often edits their photo and video first before uploading it. Some of them could edit their photo for hours using several applications, but some of them only edit it using all the filters provided by Instagram itself. Furthermore, all respondents agree that there are many advantages to using Instagram, so they choose Instagram as a platform to present themselves.
Experience and personality may influence undergraduate students' motivations because they have different viewpoints, but almost all respondents said they wanted to impress their followers. Because almost all people use Instagram Story and it becomes a habit to share what they wanted to share so everyone knows it. Apart from that, all the respondents agree that Instagram is a safe and easy to use application.
R ECOMMENDATIONS
The researcher recommends that the undergraduate students should not be so busy with their virtual life and pay more attention to their real life. Moreover, the next researcher should be more concerned with what kind of images the undergraduates wanted to achieve through their self-representation.
