Causative Verb
A causative verb is a verb used to indicate if the subject is not directly responsible for the action taking place, rather than someone or something else doing the act. When used in a sentence, causative verb is not necessarily a verb 1 but also a verb 2 or 3, depending on the type of sentence.
The causative verbs contain the four most often used words in sentence structure. All four words are get, have, let, and make.
1. Get, it serves to tell someone to do something for himself
2. Have, have the same function as the get, but with a different structure.
3. Let, it serves to let or allow people to do things.
4. Make, work to convince people to do something.
Causative Verbs Active Causative Verbs Passive
All causative forms used in causative are generally the same as (let, make, have, get), but there are 2
most commonly used, namely, have and get.
Normally in causative no object person is in the form of a sentence, not like an active causative who has one object person. The verbs sentence is
in the past participle and object are noun Causative verbs followed by the bare
infinitive are usually have, let, and make.
Meanwhile, causative verbs followed by to infinitive include allow, cause, convince, enable, force, get, lead, motivate, permit,
and require.

Have
Have a common causative verb. This verb serves to want someone to do something for the subject. The formula used is as follows :
• Active sentences : S + (have/ had) + agent + action verb (bare infinitive) + object.
• Passive sentences : S + (have-had) + object + action verb (V3).
Example :
My manager had me finish the reports in a week. (Active sentences)
I have my bike repaired. It means: I ask someone to repair my bike. (Passive sentences)

The use of the verb get is similar to the havebut with a different sentence structure. The formula used is as follows:
• Active sentences : S + (get/ got) + agent + action verb (bare infinitive) + object.
• Passive sentences : S + (got) + object + action verb (V3).
Example :
Manuella gets Fabiyan to do the group assignment. (Active sentences)
Maria got the car washed. It means: Maria ask someone to wash the car. (Passive sentences)

This verb serves to let someone do something. The formula used is as follows :
• Active sentences : S + let + agent + action verb (bare infinitive)
Example :
Will you let me go now?
She lets me drive her car

This verb serves to compel or is very convincing one to do something. The formula used is as follows :
• Active sentences : S + (make/made) + agent + action verb (bare infinitive)
Example :
The manager makes her staff work hard
My teaher made me apologize for what I had said
