e a part of Central Indiana’s networking event of the year! Join the Central Indiana Chapter as we recognize distinguished alumni who have set the bar for success in both their professions and in our community. Then, take advantage of the networking opportunities to meet and connect with the honorees and fellow attendees. The third annual Six Degrees is Jan. 27, 2010, from 6–8 p.m. at the University Place Conference Center.Registration is required at www.alumni.iu.edu/chapters/indy.
Tickets are $10 for IUAA members and $20 for nonmembers.

Retro-Metro Night
O
n Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010, IUPUI men’s basketball will take on Summit League Conference foe Oral Roberts at Conseco Fieldhouse. In observance of the conclusion of IUPUI’s year-long 40th Anniversary Celebration, this night has been designated “Retro-Metro Night.” IUPUI moved to Division 1 in 1998 and changed the team name from Metros to Jaguars. All former athletes from both eras are being invited to attend and will be recognized during a special half-time program. The current team will wear Metros jerseys for this game, and the jerseys will subsequently be auctioned to support the IUPUI athletics program.Central Indiana
Chapter Scholarships
F
or the 2010-11 academic year, the Central Indiana Chapter of the IUAA is awarding a total of four scholarships in the amount of$1,000 each, to undergraduate and/or graduate students from Marion, Hamilton, Hancock, or Hendricks counties.
The chapter is currently accepting applications for these scholarships. Applicants must plan on attending one of Indiana University’s campuses in the fall of 2010. The application deadline is Friday, Jan. 29, 2010.

2010 Annual HHE Statehouse Visit Tuesday, Feb. 2
The 19th annual visit will include a program featuring IU President Mi- chael A. McRobbie, visits with state legislators, and the annual awards reception. On-site registration begins at noon, program begins at 1 p.m.

Two IU Traditions Come Together in Downtown Indy on Jan. 21
C
ome join fellow IU alumni at the newly opened Kilroy’s Bar &Grill in downtown Indianapolis on Thursday, Jan. 21. We will be there at 6 p.m., so come after work and meet local alumni and chapter members while watching the IU vs. Penn State men’s basketball game. The game is scheduled to tip off at 7 p.m. In addition to the game and networking, there will be an opportunity to win tickets to upcoming IU basketball games.
