I CHAPTER III

METHODOLOGY OF THE RESEARCH

This research the researcher described about the description of the research design, location and time of the research,focus of the research,population and sample, instrument of the research and procedure of collecting the data, technique of data analysis.

A. Research Design

This use descriptive quantitative research to seek deeper information about phonomena in the filed.Research was use a Test to obtain information about the students ability in mastery morphological bound morphem students of MA DDI Tellu Limpoe.In accordance with the background of the problems that have been described previously, it can be satated that chant reserach uses this tpaes of research

B. Location and Time

This research was contucted at MA DDI Tellu Limpoe on jalan. Andi Solulipo No 5.Amparita ,Kecamatan Tellu limpoe,Kabupaten Sidenremg Rappang. researchers was provide a test.

C. Variabel of the Research

The variable in this reserach is the student’s ability in mastery morphological bound morphem students of MA DDI Amparita.

D. Operational Definition of Variable

The variable in this research is ability in mastery morphological bound morphem.the variable means that the student’s knowledge to identify the mastery morphological bound morphem.furthemore, the researcher will give the students a test.

E. Instrumen of the Research

The writer used 2 item tests in the instrument. They are multiple choice items and word formation test items. each item consisted of 15 questions. so the total number of instrument was 30 questions.

F. Populasi and Sample 1. Population

The population of this resecahers is the second year of MA DDI Tellu Limpoe in academic yaer 2019.the sums of population are 39 students that consist of the second year students of MA DDI Amparita the following is the table of the total number of the second year of MA DDI Amparita in academic year .

Stating the Number of population,the researcher will use clustrem random sampling and the writer will a resarcher in class XI IPA and XI IPS of MA DDI Amparita.

G. Procedure of Collecting Data

In collecting data, the researchers will writen test :

Firstly, the researcher gave explanation the students about this researcher

1. The resecaher gave the students written test about the Morphological bound morphem

2. The researcher explained how to the test as well as the time available to do tes.

3. Finally the research collected the data from respondents H. Technique of Data Analysis

Data analysis in this, the researcher would use the Rasch Model data analysis technique.This model is a one-parameter item response theory (IRT) model that presupposes that each item is a difficulty parameter. This model also arranges abilities and items based on difficulty. 1The Rasch model also converts raw data to interval data with the same value between units and other units. The basic principle underlying the Rasch model is the probability of the respondent to answer any item correctly based on the difficulty of the item and the respondent's ability.The following is an analysis with the Rasch model:

The item reliability index means that the difficulty of the item is the same as other samples that have the same ability.56 Meanwhile, the reliability index of the respondents means that the individual abilities in this sample are consistent even though they are given another instrument that measures the same construct. The maximum reliability index value is one. This value indicates high reliability. The item and respondent reliability index received was ≥ 0.80.57 This is in accordance with the opinion of Fischer (2007) that the item reliability index and respondents who were well received were> 0.80.

The reliability criteria, namely <0.67 (weak), 0.67 - 0.80 (enough), 0.81-0.90 (good), 0.91-0.94 (very good) and> 0.94 (special).2

2. Polariti Item (Point Measure Correlation)

Polarity analysis or item suitability is an indicator used to show items used to move in one direction intended by the construct being measured. Polarity analysis uses the point measure correlation (PMC) analysis technique or point measure correlation, which is a technique to produce items that actually match the measured construct. The PMC 1.0 value indicates that all respondents with low ability answered the item incorrectly and all respondents with high ability answered the item correctly.The
