According to Leech (in Saputri, 2014), it is mentioned that figurative language is classified into eight types of figurative meanings, namely: personification, simile, metaphor, exaggeration, irony, litotes, metonymy and oxymoron.

Based on Table 4.1 and Figure 4.1, it can be seen that there are 8 types of figurative language used in Jessie J's song lyrics. Based on the findings of the results, as shown in the table above, this classification of figurative meaning is: personification consisting of 3 data sentences, simile 2 data sentence, metaphor 2 data sentence, hyperbole 2 data sentence, irony 1 sentence data, litota 1 sentence data, metonymy 3 sentence data and oxymoron 4 figurative meaning data. According to Hornby (1995, p. 433), “the definition of figurative language is also known as a word, phrase and/or sentence used in an imaginative way that is different from its usual or basic meaning”.

Based on the findings of the results shown in Table 4.2 and Figure 4.2, there were 8 types of figurative language used in the second selected song used by Jessie J. Table 4.3 clearly shows that in the text of the Abracadabra song as a source of reviewed data, the researcher found 8 types of figurative language as figurative meanings. Consequently, based on the findings of the results in this study, the researcher found all the categories of figurative language used in the selected Jessie J songs.

Oxymoron is a kind of figurative language that has a function as a comparison by combining two opposing or contradictory ideas (Saputri, . 2014).

DISCUSSION

Discussion of Types of Figurative Language used in the selected songs album of Jessie J

In this section, the researcher mainly discusses the types of figurative language used in the selected songs album by Jessie J. Based on table 4.1, it shows that there are 8 types of figurative language used in the song's lyrics of "Price ticket". The results findings of this study that refer to personification in the second song are (1) "My mouth begins to flow the words"; (2) "If I could turn back the hands of time" and (3) "I guess karma comes back".

These are "Know that this will not pass, here to stay"; and "All the doubts I had are gone". There are two pieces of information in the lyrics of the first song, as seen in the lyrics "Seems like everybody's got a price" and. Meanwhile, the researcher found only one piece of information in the texts of the second and third songs.

In the first song there are two data, namely: "We're paying with love tonight" and "So we gonna keep everybody moving theyfeet". In this study, the researcher identified among the data studied that there are 8 categories of data identified as hyperbole specification such as: (1) “I wonder how they sleep at night” and “And guess what, in thirty seconds I will leave for Mars" in the first song, (2) "But no, I went and told the whole world how I feel, oh", "I gotta change if I wanna keep you forever" and. Acting so damn mysterious" #firstsong, "I hate that I'm letting you down and I feel so bad about it"#secondsong and "Look, I just don't usually do this, but you bring me out" #third song.

There are 7 data found in this study that refer to litotes among the lyrics of the song analyzed. Litotes is defined as the comparison delivered in the form of understatement and with the intention of understated emphasis (Leech, in Saputri, 2014). First, there was only one datum in the award tag song called “It's not about the money, money.

Furthermore, these two pieces of information are found in the third song, as seen in the lyrics "I didn't expect anything" and "I just wanna be your girl, whoa yeah". That you can't even have a good time", "Just give me six strings" and "We do it for love, that's why we fight and sacrifice every night"; (2) #secondsong: “But no, I went and told the whole world how I feel, oh”; "I lose my mind for a minute there" and "I swear I'd never cross that line" (3) #third. Thus, it can be clearly stated that all the data mentioned above are in the category of metonymy as figurative language used by Jessie J.

Discussion of the Contextual Meaning used in the selected songs album of Jessie J

Meanwhile, in the phrase "world dance", he found that dance is categorized as an activity of people, and in the texts, the author used "dance" to describe the world. The lyrics expressed the state of the singer based on past experiences and faced the truth as a reality of life. Personification as figurative language also found in the text of the third poem as seen in the "going away" and "going away" effected by the situation he is facing.

Furthermore, the meaning of the lyrics was described above that the singer argues to the people in the party involved that they are in a dubious situation by identifying the words "I have a price" and "a price for life" as the problem. and financial. Furthermore, in the lyrics of the third song, the comparison of similarity is seen using the word "like". The above data showed that the expression "to pay with love" is an implied meaning like the happiness that happens at night.

That means the singer expressed that everyone involved in the party would be happy by dancing and enjoying everything. The phrase “and in the heat of the moment” confirmed the intended meaning, as something bad had happened. This is implied by the word 'the colors', which has a meaning as the brightness of life.

Based on the data shown above, the exaggerations stem from the two lyrics in the first song. Then the statement “You are so damn capable” assumes that the opposite of something happened unexpectedly. Finally, it is shown in “It's so surreal, you know,” which has an intended meaning of the author feeling different from the expectation.

In conclusion, because of the saying "it's not about", the data means that the money is not everything. The last datum found in the third song was "But what I did, it wasn't cool". After analyzing the third song, the researcher found two data in the form of utterances.

The last date found on the second track was "I swear I'd never cross that line." This means that the agreement comes first, but the truth comes after the agreement.
