CHAPTER V CLOSURE

A. Conclusion

In previous chapter after analyzing and discussing the data, this research came to a conclusion. It can be concluded that in students’

perception on the benefits of code-switching use in speaking course. In point a related to increasing students’ perception, in point b with code- switching can create a relax atmosphere, and the last in point c, code- switching can provide a deep understanding. It can be concluded that the students’ perception positive towards it.

In students’ perception on the benefits of code-switching in improving speaking skill in speaking course, can be seen that students’ got the benefits for improving their speaking skills. This is related to point a on improving components of speaking skill, in point b related to facilitate students in constructing sentences, in point c about improving pronunciation, and the last in point d improving students’ fluency.

B. Suggestion

Based on the result of the researcher, there are some suggestion from the researcher. For lecturers, it is important for them to make the class they teach the situation relaxed and easy for students to understand. So, code- switching is very necessary for lecturers to use in order to provide the best learning experience for students.

For students, to improve their speaking skill, they need to listen to the feedback from the lecturers. Code-switching makes it easier for students to understand the feedback given. Students are also have to be able to always focus during learning. In addition, students must put aside feelings of insecurity and fear of being wrong in discussions and when expressing their opinions.

For other researchers, if interested to conduct the research related to code-switching, the researcher suggest to research in different and various situation. There are still many things that can be researched regarding code-switching, either by researching functions, types, or perceptions of code-switching in improving other skills besides speaking skills.
