Total workload is 340 minutes (3 ECTS) per semester which consists of 100 minutes (0.8 ECTS) learning activity, 120 minutes (1.1 ECTS) structured task and 120 minutes (1.1 ECTS) individual learning per week for 16 weeks.

1. CLO-1. Describe the meaning, function, and benefits of chemical laboratories, chemical laboratory designs, layouts and chemical laboratory facilities

2. CLO-2. Understand laboratory management based on standard management concepts

3. CLO-3. Understand laboratory administration and introduction to standardized lab management systems (ISO/SNI: 17025)

4. CLO-4. Describe Chemicals (Chemicals): based on form / form, purity- impurity), hazards and prevention, assessment of chemicals (level and class of poison, flamability-reactive-explosivability), exposure (exposure), physical and biological hazards of chemicals, symbols and information systems (GHS labels, HMIS labels, NFPA labels, Risk & Safety Phrases, MSDS), and their storage

5. CLO-5. Describe chemical laboratory equipment: equipment (material:

glassware-porcelainware-plasticware-metalware-woodware-combined, function: mass measurement-volume measurement-pressure measurement, accuracy: macro-semimicro-micro-smallscale) and instrumentation equipment

6. CLO-6. Describe Chemical Laboratory Safety and Security Instruments:

understanding, purpose and function, types of protection (engineering control

& personal protection equipment), regulations (regulations, standard operating procedures/SOPs)

7. CLO-7.Analyzing occupational safety and health in the laboratory (K3L) 8. CLO-8. Analyzing Chemical Laboratory waste: definition and classification,

prevention of waste (17 steps guideline as good practice), identifying and assessing unknown/unknown chemicals, waste management measures, hazard reduction, and waste disposal ( waste disposal).

Content: 1. Chemistry Laboratory: understanding, function, and benefits of chemical laboratory, chemical laboratory design, chemical laboratory layout and facilities

2. Laboratory management based on standard management concepts

3. Laboratory Administration and introduction of standardized lab management system (ISO/SNI: 17025 )

4. Chemical Handling

5. Handling of glassware and instrumentation

6. Chemical laboratory safety equipment and Chemical Laboratory Work Safety and Security Instruments

7. Safety at work in the laboratory

8. Chemical Laboratory Waste Management

Study/exam achievements: Examinations are conducted as Unit Tests. There are two-unit tests, each covers 4-5 chapters. The final marks are derived from unit tests (70%) and structured tasks (30%).
