Istanbul Youth Summit (IYS) 2024, organized by the Youth Break the Boundaries (YBB) Foundation, is a remarkable program designed to foster the spirit of young leadership and groom exceptional future leaders.
Through an ethical approach to education, IYS focuses on instilling a sense of nationalism, character values, and appreciation for global cultures among the youth.
At its core, the Istanbul Youth Summit transcends being a mere gathering of young leaders from diverse backgrounds; it is a platform for them to exchange their experiences and insights on how they can protect and empower youth in their communities. The YBB Foundation, committed to youth development and empowerment, continually innovates in various youth activities to build a consistent and strong youth character.
Since 2017, YBB has been organizing the "Youth Education and Entrepreneurship Summit (YEES!)" in Istanbul, which has gained significant traction among young people. Now, YEES! carries forward its warm and impactful theme to Istanbul Youth Summit 2024.
IYS 2024 is a valuable opportunity for young leaders to learn about social development strategies that can lead to tangible changes for the progress of their countries. The summit focuses on four sub-themes, encouraging critical thinking about social development strategies related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including Education (SDG 4:
Quality of Education), Health (SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being), Economy (SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth), and Environment (SDG 13: Climate Action).
Selected young participants at IYS 2024 will not only gain valuable insights from diverse perspectives across nations but also strengthen their global networks, preparing them to become future leaders. The committee genuinely hopes that the representatives of Istanbul Youth Summit 2024 will derive maximum benefits from this program, including knowledge enrichment, networking opportunities, and fostering a strong youth presence on the international stage.
The ultimate objective is to accelerate the progress of nations, and through IYS 2024, this goal can be genuinely achieved, making it a powerful instrument for shaping a better and more promising future.

IYS 2024 is the seventh international summit organized by Youth Break the Boundaries (YBB) Foundation in Istanbul. This summit will encourage future leaders who break the boundaries of their abilities to discuss and take action in Innovation and Collaboration: Unlocking Youth-driven Solutions for Sustainability. With this themes, IYS 2024 also encourages young people from all backgrounds and sectors to collaborate together and utilize their leadership capabilities in helping and realizing to make sustainable development goals become achievable.
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are sustainable development efforts that become a reference in the framework of development and negotiations of countries in the world as a substitute for the global development of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) which ended in 2015. The SDGs have several goals, including Education (SDG 4: Quality Education), Health (SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being), Economy (SDG 8:
Decent Work and Economic Growth), and Environment (SDG 13: Climate Action)
Youth Break the Boundaries Foundation presents a forum where all youths are required to help and realize to make sustainable development goals become achievable that occurred in the form of leadership in their respective fields and equipped with qualified speakers as well as panel discussions and various social projects.
Moreover, as the tagline Collaboration in Diversity, delegates of IYS are expected to gain so much more than just networking, as IYS is open to all youths from various backgrounds and cultures, achieving the goal of IYS with so much knowledge and experiences will have a great impact to the international community.

This program is basically self-funded. It means that you have to afford the program fee, flight to Istanbul, visa, and other expenses. But we will provide a fully-funded program (excluding flight ticket and visa) for the best applicants. The fully-funded quota will refer to the quality of the registration itself. The First Selection for Candidates will be choosen based on quality of essay.

1. An essay is the exposition of a reasoned argument to support a point. It is not a recitation of facts nor is it a summary of events. Analysis should be the driving force behind the narrative, not the other way around: why rather than what.
2. It is in the body of your essay that you should use the factual details and sources you discovered in your research to give your points weight and strength.

3. The golden rule: 1 idea = 1 paragraph.
4. The beginning of a paragraph has two main functions: to introduce a new idea for discussion and to indicate the role this topic plays in your overall argument. The rest of the paragraph is devoted to elaborating and substantiating its central idea.
5. Our points need to flow logically on from one another and you need to create a sense of progression through the way that each paragraph is linked.
6. If the essay involves a critique of a particular thesis or text, don’t waste valuable space on long summaries of this thesis. Instead, give a brief and accurate exposition and concentrate.
7. For the most part on analysing its strengths and weaknesses. However, in some theoretical essays the primary task might be to explain the thesis of an author, rather than to debate the plausibility of those ideas.
8. Make sure you have made it clear why you think a piece of evidence supports your argument, or raises questions about an author’s assumptions etc.
9. After you have written each paragraph, ask yourself if it relates to the essay question and how it supports your argument. If it doesn’t do this clearly, amend it straight away before you get stuck on a diversion.

ESSAY EXAMPLE
Good health and well-being are a fundamental goal that every nation strives to achieve. Indonesia faces challenges in providing accurate and timely diagnoses for thyroid disorders. The thyroid gland plays a crucial role in hormone regulation, and disorders in this gland can lead to abnormal body functions. However, diagnosing thyroid disorders accurately remains a challenge due to the diverse range of symptoms associated with these diseases. To address this issue, we propose an expert system framework as a potential solution.
An expert system is an implementation of artificial intelligence technology that can replace the role of medical experts in diagnosing diseases. The system uses a forward chaining inference engine to calculate the level of certainty in the diagnosis. The development of the expert system framework follows the waterfall system development life cycle (SDLC). The system's framework is designed based on the MYCIN method equations for diagnosing other thyroid disorders apart from hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism. The expert system framework demonstrates high confidence levels in diagnosing thyroid disorders. The integration of activity diagram modeling and use case diagrams enables users to interact efficiently with the system during the diagnostic process. The expert system framework for diagnosing thyroid disorders shows promising results, with high confidence levels in the diagnostic conclusions.
Implementing this framework in healthcare facilities can aid in accurate and timely diagnosis, contributing to SDG 3 (good health and well-being).
This initiative showcases the potential of artificial intelligence and expert systems in revolutionizing healthcare and achieving global health goals.
