BIBLICAL AND THEOLOGICAL BASIS FOR THE PRIMARY
So God took Adam's rib, used it to create Eve, and joined the two to become one flesh. God created man and woman to complement each other and told them to leave their parents and make their own families. Charles Aalders writes: "God decided to provide man with a life companion."2 God created Eve as a worthy companion of Adam and brought.
Cassuto defines the Hebrew word for helper: "[Literally, 'a helper like before him'] a helper like him, suitable for him, worthy of him, corresponding to him."3 God knew what Adam needed and provided exactly what Adam needed in Eve.
The point of verse 23 is to introduce the man and woman who have now become a family and will soon become parents.
So if we are told that they were not ashamed, this can be read as one of the marks of their state of sinlessness.”12 Adam and Eve felt no shame, so they felt no sin for their conduct. In Deuteronomy 6:4-9, parents are commanded to raise their children in the instructions of the Lord. However, the thrust of Moses' speech (i.e., the book of Deuteronomy) focuses on the presence of God among his people.
The initiatory function of the Schema is to identify that which will be the center of being and value for these people, and to begin to indicate the nature of it. The Lord is our God," he praises them, and their confession will serve to shape their identity in the world in the deepest possible way. 17. Children are God's gifts and he wants them to be taught the word of God.
Children will therefore follow their parents' teaching and influence in the home more than anyone else's influence. According to Deanna Thompson, "the Shema is the first prayer a Jewish child learns, and it is recited every morning and evening by Jews around the world."19 Thompson continues, "The Great Commandment moves in verse 7 to the command that Israel must succeed. lay down these teachings, recite them 'when [they] are at home and when [they] are gone and when [they] lie down and when [they].
Human marriage is the focus of vv 24b, 25a, and Christ and the church again provide justification in vv 25b-27. What is said about this relationship is the model for the relationship between husband and wife required in vv 28, 29, which is again compared in vv 29b, 30 to the way of relationship between Christ and the church. Another reason why a wife should submit to her husband is that she wants to model the attitude of the church before Christ.
One way in which a wife seeks the same purity and holiness is by submitting to her husband as the church submits to Christ. The connection therefore suggests quite clearly that for the author the husband's headship, especially when seen in light of the analogy with Christ's headship in the second half of the statement, involves a role of authority.”25. In summary, wives are to submit to their own husbands (1) in obedience to the Lord and His word, (2) in imitation of the position of the church before Christ, and (3) out of respect for her husband's God-given headship.
Paul encourages husbands and wives to their role in marriage and emphasizes that they should reflect the relationship between Christ and the Church. According to Paul, the depth lies in the fact that these principles apply to the union between Christ and the Church (Eph 5:32).
Marriage requires equal interaction between husband and wife, where the wife respects her husband and the husband loves his wife through sacrifice. The wife submits to her husband, and the husband must not be bitter towards his wife. But let each of you also love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.” Paul's summary in verse 33 illustrates the covenantal love taught in Scripture and required in marriage.
Bruce asserts, "The main point of quoting the fifth commandment may be to confirm that obedience to parents is right."44 The commandment spoken directly to children is a divine ordinance from Jesus Christ.
THE ROLES OF PARENTS AND THE CHURCH IN THE FAMILY
PROJECT METHODOLOGY
PROJECT ANALYSIS AND EVALUATION
Would Do Differently
The MyungSung Church did not have enough knowledge about family ministry, and families relied heavily on the church to develop their children's faith. Furthermore, the church's age-segmented system, in which parents send their children to their own worship service without leading family worship at home, has limitations. I currently understand that parents are good influencers and that they have the primary responsibility to influence their children to God.
Thus, I taught the parents participating in the program at MyungSung Church and charged them with the responsibility of assuming their household role to lead their children. Parents who participated in the project now recognize that they are their children's primary influencers and are responsible for guiding their children at home. I was surprised that the parents had enthusiasm to share the gospel with their children because they worry about their children leaving the Lord.
In this way, this project positively influenced parents and provided the motivation to disciple their children. The third question reads: "Will you love this child with the unconditional love of Christ?" The parents answered emphatically, "Yes." They love their children and want their children to believe in God and go to heaven with them. I hope the parents keep this sentiment to take care of their children and lead them to God.
The final question is, "Will you pray for her to come to know Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior?" The parents replied that they would pray for their children every day. I believe that if parents follow God's word like this, their children will not abandon God. So when parents doubt the existence of God in their hearts, their children are unlikely to believe in Him.
Such faithfulness and marriage on the part of parents will help their children change their minds to the truth. Thus, churches and seminaries recognize that they need to adopt the family ministry and instruct their parents to influence their children toward God. However, the following generation felt that this was not necessary, so they removed the family worship service at home and instead relied on the church to teach and influence their children.
