solving contemporary and complex problems related to bioprocessing ILO-2: To formulate and operate conversion processes of biological resources into bio-based value added materials related to food, feed, fuels, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, biomaterials or biochemicals ILO-7: To appraise bioprocessing and bioproducts manufacturing and valorization using entrepreneurship principles

1) Introduction: Industrial water quality, sources of industrial water pollutants and an introduction to waste water treatment
2) Physical processing: Equalization, Screening, Shredding, Grit Removal 3) Physical processing: Sedimentation
4) Physical processing: Flotation 5) Chemical processing: Neutralization
6) Chemical processing: Coagulation, Flocculation 7) Chemical processing: Disinfection
8) Biological processing: Principles of processing
9) Biological processing: Aerobic and anaerobic treatment 10) Biological processing: Microbiology in liquid waste
11) Advanced processing technology: Filtration and filtration membrane 12) Advanced processing technology: Membrane Bioreactor
