ILO-3 : An ability to manage and utilize natural resources (agriculture and environment) and the supporting resources (human resources, infrastructure, etc.) in an optimal way and sustainable.

Objectives
Knowledge: Cooling techniques are the basic principles of cooling, cooling applications, factors that affect the cold storage of horticultural products.
Thermodynamic properties and heat transfer processes in the cooling process, refrigeration cycle (Carnot heat cycle, Carnot refrigeration cycle, air refrigeration
cycle and vapor compression cycle). Mollier diagrams, calculations, refrigeration cycle applications on Mollier diagrams. Basic principles of refrigerants, properties, benefits and workings of refrigerants as well as simulation of fluid dynamics in refrigerants
Skills: cognitive – able to use psychrometric chart on drying
Phsycomotoric - fluid dynamics simulation on cooling process with flowsimulation and simulation process with theoretical calculations of heat transfer conditions in the cooling cycle
Competences: Students able to analysis and calculation of drying systems and cooling system and the effect of drying and cooling on materials
