Once again, we are elated to welcome online and offline participants to join The 7th Biennale ICIAP 2024 PreEvent: “Writing Coaching: Strategies in Conceptualising High Impact Scientific Papers” , we hope that everyone is doing well.

Ladies and gentlemen, this PreEvent is held as one of the series events of the 7th International Conference on Indonesian Architecture and Planning. The 7th International Conference on Indonesian Architecture and Planning is a series of conferences that allow the participants to discuss challenges and opportunities for sustainability which often triggers innovation at the first place and its effects on architecture, planning, and the governance. This year, ICIAP is conducted under the theme of
“FUTURE LIVING- Reimagining Holistic Sustainable Built Environment”
which brought up 4 topics:
(1) Reimagining Holistic Sustainable Urban and Regional Development; (2) Reimagining Holistic Sustainable Architectural Design; (3) Innovations for Future Living; and (4) Challenges for Future Living.
As the time is ticking, we’d like to announce that today is the last day of the abstract submission for the 7th International Conference on Indonesian Architecture and Planning. Soon after this, our committee will share the registration link of our conference. Don’t miss out the chance as there will be lots of fruitful discussions and exciting opportunities waiting for you!

Thank you, Dr. Yani for the warm speech. Now, we've done our opening session formally, let's begin today's rundown with insightful material sessions from our inspiring speakers.

his session will be moderated by Ms. Atrida Hadianti, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D. Graduated from Kyoto University, Ms. Atrida had published her researches about Disaster Preparedness, Mitigation and Management, Livelihood Resilience, etc which was shown by her current publication, “The simulation of urban development with the consideration of ground deformation threats in Sidoarjo Regency, East Java Province of Indonesia”.
Moving on to our first invited speaker, Prof. John Zhai, a Professor at the Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering (CEAE) at University of Colorado at Boulder (UCB).
Prof. John Zhai has a huge interest in research as well. Due to his remarkable achievements, Prof. John Zhai was honored as the Awardee of the Distinguished Service Award (DSA) and Distinguished Lecturer Title from ASHRAE.
The topic of our 1st Speaker's Session will be about Hot Spot Trend in Building & Environment Research.
I can see how enthusiastic the participants are after hearing the speaker's experience and how insightful the topic would be. So, without any further ado, here we go to the 1st session.
