Prediction model and scoring system for the prevention and control of inhibition problems in under-fives in Indonesia. We used IFLS 2007 as secondary data in the cross-sectional study to develop a problem-solving and prevention model for stunting. The study was conducted in 2016 to predict a model based on the characteristics of the child, parents and health care.
Protective factors for stunting are: prevention of LBW (Low Birth Weight) in infants, limiting the number of children to three, improved parenting for the boys, prevention of pregnancy at a young age and stunting in the female adolescent. Other factors are the completion of immunization, the improvement of maternal education and the health services of children under five in rural areas, and the improvement of Fe consumption for pregnant mothers. It is necessary to advise the pregnant women with low height and young age pregnancy as a high risk, as well as the handling of the baby with LBW to prevent stunting.
It is a situation of growth retardation caused by the accumulation of inadequate nutrition that occurs from pregnancy to 24 months of age (Hoffman et al., 2000; Bloem et al., 2013). Malaria is an infectious disease caused by parasites of the genus Plasmodium and transmitted through the bites of Anopheles mosquitoes. The mosquitoes were captured using indoor nets, while outdoors, cow bait nets were started at 6:45 PM to midnight for six capture events.
