ofhead and occiputdarkgreenish blue, not metallic; nape,back and shoulders,shining grass-green;rump
and uppertail-coverts glitter- ing bronze. Tailshining bronze, with thetipsof the feathers pale grav, widest on the outermost rectrices,and diminishingto the central ones which haveamereindication ofgrayat thetip.Wings
purplishbrown.Sides ofneckshining bluish green. Throat andcentre ofbreast white, speckled with shining green; sides of breast and flanksmetallic grass- green.
Abdomen
whitish.Under
tail-coverts pale brown, edged wilh white. Maxilla black,mandiblefl«shcolor, tipblack, Feetblack.Total length,31-2 in.; wing,i7-Sin.; tail, i7-16in.; bill,3-4in.
