Load calculations of a single room is basic step to HVAC field.
In HAP we just work with Schematic Design (for small blocks) there are also other features dealing with large buildings and involving energy simulations.
Other software as eQuest can be used that provide us information which one is best for different situations.
The project can be extended by designing a system involving solar panel so that the benefits of absorption system become obtainable.
