Camp Suffolk Feb the 23 1863

I read your letter last Night dated th15 and was verry glad to hear from you and hear that you wer all well and that you had got the money that I sent to you I am well and hope that this will finde you the same. you spoke about sending me your likeness it would be a real comfort to me to have it to look at but I do not want you to distress the famely to get it for me and remember that I want you to keep the one that you had taken when I was at home. when I draw pay again I will send the money to pay for having it taken and I hope

that will bee soon. you spoke of my sending you some money and your sending me some tobaco I have no money to send I should have sent some to you when I drew my pay but I did not kno

as we should stay here long enough for you to send it to me they talked of going [2]

away from here about that time and I thau ght that I would not run the risk to

send home for any Tobaco untill I knew whether we was going away or not when we draw again if I think it will answer I will send you some money and have you send me some Tobaco. you wanted me to tell you what the weather was

draw enough so that I can pay you for some of your good deads Oh I got a letter from Caroline and one from Fint and Polley today they are all well as common Fint is complaining some Caroline says that she never will go to Old Bentleys to live with Calvin for they have abused her to bad for that Polley says that Charles E has been drafted and had got to go that week unless he got clear he had not been inspected yet they feel awfull bad about his being Drafted for he is their mane dependance for fint is not able to doo much hard work. one of Steaven Raynoldss girls is maried to a Soldier and they feal very bad about about it because he is not rich, good buy for this time Daniel Hall
