The implementation of the Kampus Mengajar program by the Ministry of Education and Culture in cooperation with Nommensen HKBP University to prepare students to participate in the success of this program. The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, especially the Department of English at Nommensen HKBP University is one of the educational units that is obliged to support students in participating in the Kampus Mengajar program. From the above background, the researcher would like to do research titled "Perception of English Department students towards teaching skills through the implementation of Kampus Mengajar program".
What is the perception of English department students regarding teaching skills through the implementation of the Kampus Mengajar program. What impact does the implementation of the Kampus Mengajar program have on the learning abilities of the students of the Department of English. To identify English department students' perceptions of teaching skills through the implementation of the Kampus Mengajar program.

The contribution of this previous study to this research is that the researcher used the results as an overview of the implementation of the Kampus Mengajar program in the elementary school. The last study was conducted by (Asrafil Husein La Ede & Maulina, 2022) with the research titled "EFL Pre-Service Teachers' Perception In Managing The Learning Process Under Kampus Mengajar Program". This study aims to determine the perception of EFL pre-service teachers in managing the learning process during the Kampus Mengajar program.
Using a qualitative descriptive design, six pre-service teachers of the English Education degree program at the Muhammadiyah University of Kendari were interviewed as alumni of the Kampus Mengajar Program Batch I. The results of this study show that the participants have a positive perception of the Kampus Mengajar program to improve their competence as novice EFL teachers. The contribution of this previous study to this research is that the researcher used the findings as an examination of English department students' perceptions of teaching skills through.
Furthermore, the difference between that research and this research is this research only focuses on the perception of the English Department students towards teaching skills through the implementation of Campus Mengajar program.

In this study, the questionnaire used is a closed questionnaire, where the closed questionnaire is a questionnaire that has given the answer so that the respondent only has to select or put a tick in the relevant column or place (Arikunto. Based on these theories, it was concluded that the questionnaire is a data collection technique that also uses questions from the researcher to be answered by the researched subject, the English department students at Nommensen HKBP University. The researcher gave a set of questionnaire to students to find out. the English department students' opinion .
One can say that perceptions are positive if most of the answers are always, and that perceptions are negative if most of the answers are never choices. The data in this study is collected by sharing a questionnaire through the Google Form link, due to its efficiency and practical process. The questionnaire in this instrument used the Likert scale to assess the students' perception of the English department.
Sugiyono (2014) argued that Likert scale is used to measure the attitudes, opinions and perceptions of a person or a group of people about social phenomena. For positive items, the maximum score is 5, the lowest score is 1, and vice versa if the item is negative. 9 I gave students questions and answers while teaching. 10 I gave the students time to think about asking the question and answering it.
