Online classroom activities in the speaking class under pandemic conditions in the fourth semester of the English education program at IAIN Parepare. The purpose of this research is to find out the classroom activities and barriers students face in speaking lessons during the pandemic in the fourth semester of the IAIN English education program. Meanwhile, according to Gower et al, fluency can be viewed as “the ability to continue speaking spontaneously.” Furthermore, one of the most important sources of evidence of language proficiency is the ability to speak the language you are learning. Therefore, speaking can provide a direct judgment for language learners because speaking performance can determine the speakers' knowledge in using the language.
That all the components required in teaching should be maximized to achieve what is referred to as effective teaching. From the explanation of the experts above, the researcher came to the conclusion that speaking teaching is the action to facilitate the learning process of the students with various strategies to be said as successful learning. There were some roles of the lecturer and the students changed in communicative language teaching method.
This means that in this method, most of the classroom activity was done by the students during the lesson. The ability to communicate clearly and efficiently in a second language contributes to a student's success in school and later at every stage of life.
Conceptual Framework
This research used a qualitative design that followed a case study approach, and in this research it uses in-depth case investigation as a type of qualitative research. Qualitative research was descriptive in the sense that the researcher is interested in the process, meaning and understanding gained from the words or pictures painted by the respondents.1 This design was chosen to answer the research question about students' barriers to online learning in speaking skills.

Collecting data simply means collecting all the related and supporting information, material of the research. This helped the researcher to find out the lack of the data to complete the research. In the analysis of data or the reduction of the data, the researcher was guided by the purpose of the research which is the findings.
In this chapter, the research findings related to the research question, the researcher explained the findings based on the research questions. It investigates what students and lecturers think about the importance of learning activities in learning English, how they experience learning activities, how they interpret them and how they actualize themselves through learning activities. The aim of the English course is to provide students with English communication skills in the communication material they need for their educational program, both oral and written.
Communication skills are one of the students' skills that students must master in speech class. The form of the function used by the teacher on the class can be more specific explanation in the table above, it can be seen that there are functions on the website, class, conversation, campus accreditation and educational accreditation and others. The other function used by the teacher was to assign teak, the students can get a home wok or task from the teacher, based on the observation, several tasks given to the students for their improvement of their speaking performance, the assignment task is also very important for the success of the learning process, this function becomes the most important across the classroom activities, the teacher can control the students' task based on the assignment form.
Based on the statement above, since the speaking material also cannot be easily delivered due to the network problem, the lecturer must be able to create a comfortable and conducive class environment to let the students enjoy the class and learn the material at the same time. Another obstacle also comes from lecturer method, the researcher asked several questions about the student obstacle, which most of the students stated about lecturer method in their obstacle during learning speaking skill. The students can get a lot of hard material because of the lecturer method, the lecturer method obviously becomes very essential for the student in their learning.
While in the learning process, most of the students cannot speak much because they have not mastered the vocabulary.
DISCUSSION
- Students Obstacle Faced in Speaking Class during the Pandemic at Fourth Semester of English Education Program of IAIN Parepare
The students practiced the task asked by the lecturer, even when the lecturer did not ask them. It may be influenced by the use of media (such as computer and textbook) that was interesting enough for the students. It could also be because the number of students was not many in the class.
Student participation was determined by the classroom atmosphere created by the teacher. Both the teachers and the students were important actors to create an interactive English lesson. When questioning the students, the teacher usually gave more chance to the students who had understood the material first.
The lecturer should speak in English more often to make the students more familiar. The students gave the students motivation, or set the condition that the students were motivated to study. The participation of both the lecturer and the students was necessary for the lesson to run smoothly and successfully.
Based on the observation, it was so difficult for the students to speak using English even in very simple sentences. The researcher concludes that the classroom activities in the speaking class during the pandemic in the fourth semester of English education IAIN Parepare became very important for the lecturer and students who are language learners. It explores what the students and the lecturer think in order to gain learning activities in learning, speaking skills.

SUGGESTIONS
The researcher gives a suggestion about the result data that offline class is more effective, accepted and suggested by the students and researcher himself, the offline class is more effective than online class approved by the students' barrier solution. Kak, praktiknya kurang dengan materi yang diberikan, sehingga seolah-olah materi hanya dipahami jika sudah dijelaskan.
Iya jadi kadang hilang sendiri jadi gak muncul, RAM hp gak support. Terkadang ada tugas yang kurang saya mengerti, namun diminta untuk mengisi masukan dari dosen 7 Apakah anda mempunyai faktor lain selain teknologi. Jadi biasanya kita diberikan tugas dan materi untuk dipelajari sendiri tanpa penjelasan dan kurang latihan berbicara.
6 Dapatkah Anda menjelaskan hambatan terbesar yang sering Anda rasakan selama kegiatan kelas? Kendala terbesar saya adalah tidak menentunya jaringan di desa tempat saya tinggal.7 Apakah Anda mempunyai faktor lain selain itu. Kurangnya penerimaan materi, dan juga guru hanya memberikan tugas tertulis yang tidak memenuhi kebutuhan mata kuliah speaking.
Ya, karena banyak materi yang ditawarkan tidak fokus pada berbicara, tapi lebih pada menulis. Menurut saya dosen tidak mempengaruhi pemahaman materi yang diberikan, namun dalam kondisi online sangat sulit memahami materi yang diberikan karena adanya interaksi. Ya biasanya karena jaringan lemot dan hp panas akibat pemakaian lama dan juga radiasi dari perangkat yang berpengaruh besar.
Kendala terbesar yang saya rasakan selama belajar online adalah keterbatasan infrastruktur seperti laptop, kesulitan jaringan internet dan terbatasnya kuota internet.7 Apakah Anda mempunyai faktor lain kecuali. Kalau dibilang tidak bisa, itu tidak benar, hanya saja terkadang metode yang tidak mendukung mengundang rasa bosan.Cara yang saya maksud adalah seperti guru hanya memberi tugas tanpa menjelaskan. Solusi yang saya tawarkan adalah selalu mengikuti protokol kesehatan dengan benar agar pandemi cepat berlalu dan kita semua bisa segera offline dan kendala jaringan dll bisa teratasi satu per satu.
