Clause 2(1) ( 4) of rule XI of the Hous of Representatives requires tl1at each Committee report on a bill or resolution shall contain a state- n1ent as to 'vhether enactment of such bill or resolution may have an
inflationary impact on prices and costs in tl1e operation of the national economy.
Tl1e accompanying resolution simply extends the availa;bility of funds a.nd authorities for ongoing programs of the Federal Govern- n1e11t for which fiscal year 1981 appropriations will not be enacted by Oct,ober 1.
Tl1e
philosophy of the continuing resolution is to provide funLlin · for tl1e orcl rl}r ontin1tatio11 of existing J)rograms for tl1e int r·in1 })riocl

is the judgment of the Cotrunittee that its enact-ment will not have a.n additional inflationary impact on prices and costs in tl1e operation of the national·economy. .
