“CORRELATION BETWEEN OBEDIENCE OF DRUGS HYPERTENSION CONSUMPTION TOWARDS HYPERTENSION COMPLICATION IN ANDI MAKASSAU HOSPITAL PAREPARE 2015 - 2016”

Background: Hypertension is a major risk factor for the occurrence of death from non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in the world. In Indonesia based on the 2013 basic health research, hypertension, age> 18 years (25.8%). Until now, hypertension remains a major challenge in Indonesia. The prevalence of hypertension in South Sulawesi obtained through measurement at age ≥18 years 28.1 %, the highest in Enrekang (31.3%) while for Parepare of 24.1 %.
Objective: To determine relationship between adherence the use of anti- hypertension medication against complication hypertension in the hospital andi makassau parepare 2016.
Methods: Descriptive analytic study with cross sectional design. The sample are patients in RSUD Andi Makassau. Data obtained from primary data from questionnaires in RSUD Andi Makassau 2016, and then analyzed using SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions) for windows version 21 with Pearson test Chi Square and alternative test Fisher Test.
Results: The number of samples involved in this study were 90 respondents. It was found there was relationship between the level of compliance of the use of antihypertensive drugs for complications of hypertension in RSUD Andi Makassau Parepare (p = 0.012).
Conclusion: In this study, we can conclude that the results of statistical tests found a relationship between the level of compliance of the use of antihypertensive drugs for complications of hypertension in hospitals Andi Makassau Pare Pare. Respondents who do not comply more than respondents who dutifully consume drugs Anti Hypertension. Respondents who have complications of hypertensive heart disease with the highest proportion 33.3%.
