The BMSIT&M is having very good industry connect and it is placed in ‘Platinum’ category in the recent AICTE–CII survey conducted to assess the engagement of the Institute with the Industries,
Vision
: Emerge as one of the finest technical institutions of higher learning, to develop engineering professionals who are technically competent, ethical and environment friendly for the betterment of society.Mission: Accomplish stimulating learning environment through high quality academic instruction, innovation and industry-institute interface.
About ATAL Academy:
AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy is established with the vision “To empower faculty to achieve goals of Higher Education such as access, equity and quality”. AICTE is committed for development of quality technical education in the country by initiating various schemes launched by Govt. of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development. Council understands that there is a need
of the day to train the young generation in skill sector and having faculty & technicians to be trained in their respective disciplines. Training is required for increasing the knowledge and skills of faculties and students to make them more employable to acquire global competencies.
Objective of FDP:
The objective of this program is to impart knowledge on the basics, analysis and applications of Hydrogen for engines to run in hybrid mode. This program will help young teachers, researchers, and individuals engaged in research work on producing hydrogen by different methods and to use the same as alternative fuel for automobile application. This FDP aims to cover analytical and experimental methodology currently adopted in the study of many researchers and industries, and the application of hydrogen fuel to automobiles as alternative fuels for reducing emissions.
Significant Topics covered in FDP
• Alternative fuels.
• Necessity for alternative fuels.
• Storage of hydrogen fuel.
• Characterization techniques.
• Hydrogen fuel Kits.
• Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicles, Current Status, Future Prospect
• Impact on IC engine performance with Hydrogen fuel
• Emission characteristics.
• Identifying Potential and long-lasting alternative fuels for automobile applications.
• Production of Hydrogen fuel.

Scope of FDP:
Hydrogen hybrid technology has the potential to play a significant role in the ongoing global transition towards cleaner mobility. As the world seeks to reduce carbon emissions and dependence on fossil fuels, hydrogen - based systems offer several advantages that can contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable transportation revolution. Hence, this FDP is designed and aimed to explore the newer technology available for production of Hydrogen, modification in IC engines, and emission aspects.
Outcome of FDP:
By the end of this program the participants will be able to understand the use of hydrogen in IC engines. They will have acquired the knowledge and skills necessary to engage in research and practical applications related to hydrogen production, storage, and utilization of hydrogen to power the engines in different modes.
