during academic year 2001-2002 to empower women in professional courses. This institute has witnessed significant growth within a period over 15 years and stands out as one of the best engineering colleges in AP. This institute is accredited by NBA under Tier 1 and NAAC with ‘A+’ grade. This institution is under autonomous status from the academic year 2014-15 and it is the first women’s college under JNTUK to get such an autonomous status.

In recognition of its progressive strides, the World Bank has granted TEQIP Phase-II project to SVECW. Indian Merchant’s Chamber (IMC) recognized the services of SEVECW with its Ramakrishna Bajaj National Quality award in education sector.

The AICTE - IDEA (Idea Development, Evaluation &

Application) Lab was sanctioned to Shri Vishnu Engineering College for Women in the 2022. IDEA Lab can empower the students and faculty to “engage, explore, experience, express and excel”, addressing the need of new age learning. IDEA Lab would serve as an infrastructure for faculty to take up and promote multidisciplinary education and research. Accordingly, faculty would be encouraged to get trained in these Labs and strive for creating problems/

projects/ internships in their own subjects/ disciplines and mentor the students.

Target Participants

Faculty members from AICTE approved institutions and from Institutions who established IDEA Labs under Grant-in-Aid from AICTE.
