1. CPS (Customer Programming Software) Installation
1) Double click CPS package “setup.exe”, enter passwords, choose save path, and click Next till installation completes. CPS desktop shortcut will be created automatically as shown in the figure below.

2. Hardware Connection
Connect computer and the terminal with customer programming cable as shown in the figure below.

3. Terminal Frequency Reading
Open CPS, click Read , eject USB port, click OK, read parameters of the radio.

4.1. Channel Setup
Conventional -->Channel -->Digital Channel

Channel Alias Set alias for current channel
Color Code Accorded with color code of E-pack100
Slot Operation Select pseudo trunk for Hytera terminals, others shall be set two slots for the same frequency, slot 1 and slot2, respectively.
Scan List / Roam List The channels of the selected scan list will be scanned.
Auto Start Scan The channel will be scanned automatically when it is switched to. This option needs to be checked.
Receive Frequency The received frequency of the current channel. Radios communicate through the same E-pack100 has the same Tx and Rx frequency.
Transmit Frequency The transmit frequency of the current channel. Radios communicate through the same E-pack100 has the same Tx and Rx frequency.
Tx Contact Name After the terminal set to the transmit frequency, the group call number need to be set the same with it of E-pack for communication.
Location Info Revert Channel Current channel.
Rx Group List Add group call number(s) of Tx contact name into Rx Group List.
Power Level To modify default Tx power.
Tx Admit Set to Channel Free.

Add two digital channels for a radio. The second digital channel frequency equals E- pack frequency plus 0.0125MHz. Other set are the same as above.

Click Add or Remove to add the available channel to Members list, or remove channels from Members list.

Scan Type Set to Priority Digital Channel. When the terminal received signal strength is lower than threshold, terminal will keep searching other relatively stronger signal. If there isn’t any, the currently received signal would be selected, otherwise the stronger one would be selected.
Prior Digital CH. RSSI Threshold
Prior signal threshold, and is set according to actual situation.
Hang Time [s] Time of channel occupation of a radio after a call ends, which is recommended to be 0.5 seconds.
