GROHE Ondus® stands alone as a bold aesthetic statement. Daring to evolve the geometric boundaries of minimalism, its advanced curvature gives the design its effortless minimalist appearance. Radiating simplicity and purity, its seductive form creates an instant emotional lure, subtly provoking interaction. The fluid

curved spout directs the water in a natural way respecting its fluidity and elegance – leaning toward the user, it allows the water to cascade in an optimal position.

Usability

One of the key values of the GROHE brand is ‘easy’. From our user interfaces to the packaging in which our products are delivered, we consider the entire consumer experience and go to great lengths to ensure everything we do is intuitive and simple. In an over complicated world we are dedicated to reducing the unnecessary complexities of modern life.

Intelligent design ensures the icon-based user interface facilitates intuitive and effortless operation.

Emotional icons humanize the advanced technology and ensure the digital control provides a positive affinity with water.

Backlit icons ensure good legibility even in reduced lighting and act as a further navigation aid, guiding the user through the features. The plus (+) icon, for example, only illuminates when a temperature above 38ºC is selected and must be activated to raise it beyond this level. This built in safety system ensures peace of mind for the entire family.

The result is a technologically superior product, which the user will instantly relate to and feel comfortable using, without the need to study a lengthy instruction manual.

We believe technology should make things easier and reduce the complexity of everyday life, allowing people more time and freedom to do the things they really enjoy doing.

The digital control has two modes. ‘Sleep’ presents the product in its most simplistic state. The second mode

‘Awake’ displays a series of simple and friendly backlit icons, which encourage the user to navigate intuitively through the features.

Preset functions allow the user to personalize their bathing experience. These unique features have been consciously developed based on a true under-standing of people and context of use. The result is the easiest interface we have ever designed, with just one touch your perfect bath or shower is waiting for you.

An innovative ‘Pause’ function allows the user to temporarily stop the water flow – perfect whilst applying soap or shampoo. With a single touch, the water is reactivated without the need to search once more for the optimum temperature and flow – saving time and water, while delivering an enhanced water experience.

With its simple form and intrinsic detailing, the control radiates purity, ease-of-use and will enhance the aesthetic concept of an interior space – like jewellery for the bathroom.
