However, some may find that an AR of the same caliber as their pistol could be useful, much like lawyers in the Old West. When properly attached, this light is in the 11 or 1 o'clock position so that the view is not obstructed, and it is easy to activate while holding the RRA.
A close examination of the exterior of the LAR-40 CAR A4 shows the quality of manufacture with strict attention paid to its fit and finish. And, to evaluate the LAR-40 CAR A4 from an LE perspective, I wanted a solid sight that was simple to use and didn't require batteries.
SHOOTING TIME
During the day, the optical fiber illuminates the aiming point while the tritium powers the night vision. The sight automatically switches between these two systems to ensure good contrast between the point of aim and the target area.

Many semi-automatic machines will experience a significant shift between the first and fifth rounds, but this was not the case with the SIG716 DMR. I'm sure the SIG716 DMR semi-auto would also work well with Sig Sauer's new line of noise suppressors.

By removing the suppressor, there was no significant shift in the point of impact—less than 0.5 inches. Removing the suppressor and bipod, the SIG716 DMR was quite light, very well balanced and worked incredibly well even in full kit - including while wearing a plate carrier.
