The position of a woman in the family is one of the important roles of a woman. The image of a woman from the perspective of the family is described as an adult woman, a wife and a housewife. The role of a woman as a mother is also birth, care, education and care for children.
In addition, the image of women as children in the family must also respect and obey the rules ordered by a father as the head of the family. Then describes describes the image of women from different aspects such as physical aspects and social aspects in the play The Heidi Chronicle.
Thus, the image of the woman from both physical and social aspects will appear in the play Heidi's Chronicle has been analyzed using literary criticism feminism. Heidi seems to be only interested in "images of women from the Renaissance Madonna to the present day" because she is enrolled in the graduate program in art history. Heidi is one of the depictions of women in psychology that emphasize their resilience and strength in the face of adversity.
The image of the woman in the domestic aspect is the image of the woman in the family. The social image of women shows how women contribute to society, especially in the domestic and public spheres. Liberal Feminism
Liberal feminism was born in the first wave of feminist activity, roughly from the mid-19th century to the 1950s, it peaked in the second wave, roughly from the 1960s to the 1980s, and it began to change and reorganize themselves at the beginning of the "third wave", roughly from the 1990s to today (Tong, 2018, p.21). Liberal feminism was first written by Mary Wollstonecraft in her writings A Vindication of the Right of Women when the economic and social status of European upper and middle class women was degrading. This liberal feminist thought that the liberal concept emphasizes that women and men are created equal, have the same rights and should have the same.
Liberal feminism is about individual freedoms such as the right to life, the right to speak, the right to have certain beliefs and practices, and many more. According to Rosemarie Tong, liberal feminism is more about some women being able to achieve anything they want, rather than all women being able to do anything men can do (Tong, 2018, p. 21). It shows that women are in the same position and have the same freedoms as men.
Liberal feminism also emphasizes the importance of people having the freedom to do anything they choose, therefore women also deserve this freedom. If society educates women the same way it educates men, then women's logical traits can be compared to men's. Linked to Wollstonecraft, John Stuart Mill and Harriet Taylor allowing people to pursue their preferences promoted freedom as long as those people did not hinder, disrupt or interfere with others in the process.
Furthermore, Taylor and Mill departed from Wollstonecraft by arguing that in order to achieve gender equality, society must provide women with equal political and economic opportunities and equality. Liberal feminist movements begin to appear at the same time as real attempts by women to fight for equality. The idea of liberal feminism takes into account the fact that women are the ones who marry and give birth.

Data Analysis
In addition to the indirect representation of sexual liberation reflected in the play, the play at the time showed the existence of a women's movement where Heidi is fully aware of her need to realize her potential. Meanwhile, Heidi is at the stage where she will start her career after college. It's also important to note that Scoop ends up with no emotional fulfillment with Heidi.
Heidi's friends felt that Heidi was different from them, they think that Heidi was not in the same place. Heidi's career shows how women are able to take on an independent role in the public sphere, which is often assumed to be the domain of men. Nevertheless, women in the public sphere have taken on a new identity as beings who share many traits with men.
The fact that Heidi, who is a middle-aged woman, is given several opportunities to live a happier life in the show inspires optimism. In the economic and social sphere, women have the same rights as men to receive job training, housing and family allowances, but without limiting the right of parents to raise their children at home (Tong, 2018, p.36) . In addition to their role in the family, the social image of women also plays a role in society.
As stated by the National Organization for Women (NOW), all gender-based discrimination and segregation must be eliminated at all levels of education, including college, graduate, and professional institutions. Heidi's decision to pursue an art degree reflects her studies of the options available to women her age in the 1960s. She demonstrates her dedication to the subject of study in each decade, where she progresses and becomes an expert on the marginalization of women.
To summarize, Heidi's role in both the domestic and public spheres shows that Heidi is a responsible person in her role as a mother and in her social career. This chapter presents conclusions and suggestions based on the results of the data analysis and discussions that were made in the previous chapter. The social image of women in family and society described in Heidi Holland shows a woman whose role is as a mother, who takes care of her daughter, and a woman who is the breadwinner to meet the needs of her family.

Social Image of Women
The role of women is defined by the pattern and behavior society expects from women regarding their status. She thought that housework was not only the duty or responsibility of women, but a shared responsibility in the family. Friedan concluded that modern housewives must work full-time in the public sphere in order to find meaningful work.
Women's involvement in careers has made significant contributions to family well-being, especially in the economic field. Her decision to adopt a child was a reaction to Scoop's failing relationships based on equality, and demanding that she become a wife meant that she had to follow the traditional pattern of women as housewives. It encourages a more diverse and inclusive view of women that goes beyond traditional gender norms.
Based on the findings and discussion in the previous chapter, it can be concluded that the image of women of the main character, Heidi Holland, is the image of women from the physical aspect depicted in the play The Heidi Chronicle, seen from the physical of the main female character, Heidi Holland, who experiences the physical characteristics of adult women, such as the tearing of the hymen, menstruation and becoming a mother. The image of women from the physical aspect depicted in this piece is Heidi's inner conflict issues in choosing to get married or pursue a career. Meanwhile, Heidi is portrayed in society as a woman with a good career, a woman who has an influence on society, and a woman who participates in social activities related to art and women's equality.
