INTRODUCTION
In this Modern Era, a library must utilize information technology developed to facilitate all activities, especially in the library service section. Implementing a library automation system is very helpful for all activities in the Library so that the information needed by users can be found quickly, precisely, and accurately. The rapid development
opportunities for the management and utilization of information precisely and accurately.
The use of information technology, especially in libraries, started in the 1960s in several North American and British libraries.
Education will always be a human need in carrying out their lives to improve the quality of education, so a quality library is needed as one of the supports for the education process. The Library is one of the information sources organized at an educational institution, fully managed by the institution concerned, with the primary purpose of supporting the implementation and achievement of school and educational goals in general (Hermawan, Hidayat, and Fajari 2020). With information technology, libraries are developing various service systems. Therefore, every Library has an automation system that helps all activities in the Library (Kusumawati, 2018). Information technology is widely used for job management because of its proven effectiveness and efficiency, which can accelerate performance. The fast and precise performance will increase an institution’s profit value. Libraries, as information institutions, also utilize information technology to manage and provide information services to library users. This is by Law number 43 of 2007 concerning libraries, especially article 12, which reads,
“library collections are selected, processed, stored, served, and developed according to the interests of library users by taking into account the development of information and communication technology.”
The State Library in the past still used a manual system, and librarians took much time with a contemporary building design that did not attract users to visit the Library.
Therefore, people’s views remain the same. The community’s point of view centered on the state of the library in the past, even though the current state is very modern and has used a library automation system with a building design that follows the millennial era.
Based on this situation, a library automation system was born where all activities in the Library are controlled by computers so that it helps the work of library staff and users search for information (Rifka Rahmadani, Iskandar, and Andi Muhammad Dakhalan 2022a).
The application of technology and information in libraries is quite numerous and varied; one of which we usually encounter in libraries is the application of automation systems. The library automation system is one form of implementation of information technology in the Library. A library automation system utilizes information technology, including software and hardware, to carry out various tasks of library service and management. It can be said that library automation is a method or system used to assist routine library work, which includes library material procurement, library material management, circulation/service, membership reports, and online catalogs (OPAC) (Wirapraja, 2019).
INLISLITE is a library automation system software built and developed by the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia. IN-LISLITE is very helpful for library activities and librarians’ work, but librarians’ abilities must be improved to master IN- LISLITE thoroughly. The name INLIS is taken from the Integrated Library System, the integrated library information management software built in 2003 for library information
purposes within the National Library. The characteristics of the INLISLITE version 3 application area) following the MARC (Machine Readable Cataloguing) metadata standard, b) Web-based application software, c) INLISLITE software installation is relatively easy, d) can be operated at one time simultaneously, e) free to use / free (Rifka Rahmadani et al., 2022a).
A system requires management as a guide in implementation to achieve goals.
Management, according to KBBI, is the effective use of resources to achieve goals.
According to Ananda, DR.H. Rusydi & Banurea, and Oda Kinata, 2017 quoted from (Rahayu & Asmendri, 2023). Management is a process of regulating and utilizing human resources owned by the organization through the cooperation of personnel, which contains several main elements, namely human elements (men), objects or goods (materials), machines (machines), methods (methods), money (money), and markets (markets) which have their respective functions and interact or influence each other in achieving goals effectively and efficiently.
Education management is in principle a form of application of management or administration in managing, organizing, and allocating resources contained in the world of education. This is in line with Nurhadi’s statement quoted from (Bahri, 2021) states that education management is a science that studies the arrangement of Human Resources (HR), curriculum, or learning resources and facilities to achieve optimal educational goals and create a good atmosphere for humans, who participate in the achievement of education that has been agreed upon.
Several libraries in Indonesia have used INLISlite as their library automation system, including Tunas Luhur High School Library. Before that, the Library used manual methods in every service form (Yuniar & Mathar, 2020). Tunas Luhur High School Library must collect, process, and disseminate information. Libraries are required to always follow the development of technology and information so that they can play a fundamental role in serving users. Inlis-Lite should make it easier to manage information in the Library because the National Library aims to present and develop software to help librarians process information (Adab, Fakultas et al., n.d.).
The development of science depends on the condition of the Library because the Library provides various sources of information and knowledge needed by the library users. Senior High School Tunas Luhur library is one of the information service centers that is usually used or utilized by teachers and students to get the various information they need. The function of the Library at Senior High School Tunas Luhur is to fulfill information needs. To support its function, the Library must provide correct and relevant information and provide information search facilities to the users at Senior High School Tunas Luhur.
One of the means of searching or finding library information is the catalog. A catalog is a search tool to get any library material you want in the Library. The catalog has a function, namely to find library materials in the Library. With a catalog, all information in the Library in the form of magazines, books, and other collections will be
easier to find. With a catalog, it will be easier for users to find collection materials in the Library.
In this digital era, libraries widely use the online catalog or Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC). Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) is one of the catalogs whose use is based on information technology, which is in one data collection with the processing and service system, thus forming a structured system where users can find existing library materials directly through searches by typing several meeting points such as through subjects, titles, authors, and other keywords.
Information search activities at Senior High School Tunas Luhur, the place of this Research, use the help of information technology or commonly referred to as library automation, where the catalog used is online by applying the InlisLite application as a tool for searching library materials in the Library. The In-lisLite application was developed in 2011 by the National Library of Indonesia, which functions to assist library material processing activities and can facilitate library users in searching for information in the Library. This application contains the facilities: Back Office, Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC), Online membership, Online registration, Digital collection services, and Checkpoint or Guest book.
According to LTMPT (Higher Education Entrance Test Institute) quoted from the page https://ltmpt.ac.id/. That Tunas Luhur High School is one of the schools that entered the TOP 1000 best national schools (Senior High School State and Private) based on UTBK scores. Senior High School Tunas Luhur library, as a center of information and knowledge, plays a vital role in supporting teaching and learning activities at Senior High School Tunas Luhur. In the use of information technology, Senior High School Tunas Luhur library uses an automation system. The automation system is expected to provide full service to library users. In addition to providing full service, when viewed from the collection available at the Tunas Luhur High School library with a total of 7,261 copies.
With a large amount of library material, library information system management is needed to be well organized, and one way is to implement library automation applications.
Automation in the Tunas Luhur High School Library is not yet digital but computerized, which means that there are already electronic reserves but not yet digital because if digital has freedom of access if electronic has touched the computer, there is already technology and cannot be accessed freely from outside using wifi or cellular data. Automation also helps maximize the performance that librarians use to serve borrowing and returning books, as well as managing collections manually so that the automation of the Library provides convenience in the work of librarians and all parties in the Library to be effective and efficient in doing work.
Research conducted by Andi Asari, Taufiq Kurniawan, and Kusubakti Anda-jani with the title “Implementation of In-liSLite Automation-Based School Library Management” the results of this study indicate that the application and development of the Inlislite library automation system in school libraries, the first in terms of system quality, is classified as good because it can always display updated information, has high data accuracy, has a reasonably fast response time and feature change time, the
information displayed is always accurate, has exclusive features, is easy to operate and can be accessed using ethernet and internet networks in the form of LAN. In the application of the Inlislite system in school libraries, it needs to be supported by a good infrastructure of computer equipment and internet networks. There is only one computer, so it does not support the user service process, and the existing internet could be of better quality (Asari, Kurniawan, and Andajani, n.d.).
Second, Research conducted by Rifka Rahmadani, Iskandar, Andi Muhammad Dakhalan with the title “Application of INLISLite Application in Al-Qalam Library, Faculty of Medicine, Alkhairaat University, Palu” the results of this study indicates that the use of INLISLite application in Al-Qalam Library, Faculty of Medicine, Alkhairaat University, Palu has not been used optimally by librarians in managing the Library. The obstacles librarians face in operating the INLISLite application are the lack of knowledge about the INLISLite application, the lack of human resources who are experts in ICT knowledge, and some constraints on the server (Rifka Rahmadani, Iskandar, and Andi Muhammad Dakhalan 2022b).
Third, Research was proposed by Abdul Hamid entitled “Penera-pan INLISLite (Integrated Library System) at the Regional Library and Archives Office of Pangkep Regency, South Sulawesi.” This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The results of this study explain that the implementation of INLISLite at the Regional Library and Archives Office of Pangkep Regency, South Sulawesi, has not been implemented optimally. The lack of human resources who manage the Library and the lack of budget makes one of the obstacles to implementing INLISLite at the Regional Library and Archives Office of Pangkep Regency, South Sulawesi (Hamid, 2015).
Based on some of the previous Research above, there are differences in this study which discusses more how the application of the InlisLite-based Library automation system facilitates the search for reference collections in the Tunas Luhur High School Library. Based on the researcher’s initial observation, the Library of Senior High School Tunas Luhur has used INLIS lite. However, the implementation of the system has not been running as expected due to several factors, including the human resources owned (staff/librarians) lack of understanding of information technology in the field of automation so that if the system is damaged, then the librarian handles the damage itself, unlike other libraries that already have a unique team of IT experts. The presence of people who are experts in the IT field is essential so that the system can be installed, run, and controlled/supervised correctly until it is repaired if one day there is an obstacle or damage to the system used (Taufiq Mathar, 2020).
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
This Research uses qualitative research methods by describing and describing how to facilitate the search for reference collections at Tunas Luhur High School using InlisLite Automation (Mannering & Bhat, 2014; Weiskopf & Weng, 2013). With this method, it is expected to be able to present facts comprehensively about the Application of the Library Automation System in Facilitating the Search for Reference collections at
Tunas Luhur High School. The subject of this Research is the school library librarian, and the object of this Research is the library automation system based on InlisLite. This Research uses a qualitative approach. Additional research instruments that researchers use are field notes. Field notes describe the recording of events that occur in the field through interviews and interviews (Bottcher & Thiel, 2018; Cheung et al., 2020; Hollin et al., 2020). Using tools such as recorders to record all interview results and stationery (pens, books, pencils, erasers) to record interview results. Moreover, lists or interview guides to find out what will be asked of the object of Research.
The authors used data collection techniques by conducting observations, interviews, and documentation to obtain the data needed in this study. Researchers use cell phones to get reactions or answers to questions given by researchers to informants and, at the same time, become supporting materials or tools in conducting this Research (Jentoft & Olsen, 2019; Lamon et al., 2018; Tan et al., 2019). Data analysis is used in this Research through data reduction, presentation, and conclusions. They are reading, reviewing and recording data sources that have been collected. They were discussing the problems raised.
Moreover, discuss and interpret the data obtained. Conclude. Results and Discussion This survey was conducted at Senior High School Tunas Luhur. This school is located at street.

RESULT AND DISCUSSION
Implementation of InlisLite-based Library Automation System at Senior High School Tunas Luhur
The Inlislite application is one of the breakthroughs of the Tunas Luhur High School library to implement Information and Communication Technology. The legal basis for libraries based on Information and Communication Technology is written in the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 43 of 2017 concerning Libraries. It clearly states that all libraries should utilize Information Technology and their patrons (Fatmawati, n.d.). So far, many paid and free library applications exist for open-source ones, such as INLISLite, SLIMS, and Koha. All applications have their advantages and disadvantages. The advantages of INLISLite, for example, are an easy installation process, web-based, exclusive features, ease of operation, and recommended by Perpusnas RI with government regulations on libraries.
Library automation is the integration and synergy between the resources owned by the Library and technological devices to improve library services more effectively and efficiently, ultimately providing benefits to librarians or library staff and, of course, to all library users. Human resources are referred to here (Taufiq Mathar, 2020). InlisLite is a library automation application software built by the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia (Perpusnas) in 2011; this application functions as a means of library management. From this information, we know that in the Library, it is essential to use the InlisLite application to make it easier for librarians and users. InlisLite is a free library automation application software (freeware). In-lisLite also provides exclusive features
according to Library needs to facilitate library management, and its operation is relatively easy.
InlisLite (Integrated Library System) has been implemented in the Library of Senior High School Tunas Luhur, Senior High School Tunas Luhur Library is a high school library whose library development has been improving in terms of facilities, infrastructure, and collections. The library staff of Senior High School Tunas Luhur, who is in charge of the Library, is graduates of the library science department. InlisLite (Integrated Library System) at Tunas Luhur High School Library is also used to assist the management of library materials from making book labels, member cards report on recapitulation of visitor data, borrowers, membership, number of library material collections, guest books, and facilitate the integration of all library services.
Researchers asked questions about the benefits of implementing InlisLite, the head of the Library. The Head of the Library explained the advantages of the InlisLite application, which facilitates the administration system “for the benefits are very many, we are greatly facilitated in inputting student data during the book loan process, in managing the number of books, and book data. When viewed from the number of collections in the Library, which reaches 7,261 copies, with many library materials, a library information system management needs to be well organized. One way is by implementing a library automation application.”
Figure 1. Book Collection on InlisLite
The librarian also mentioned that students visit the Library every day. According to the librarian, another factor that causes the Library to be crowded is that teachers use the library room as a study room. The Library Book Collection is complete; this can be seen from the many books neatly arranged on the bookshelves in the Library. The number and types of books in the Library have also been validated by researchers in the Inlislite database system. As shown by the picture, the number of books owned by the Tunas Luhur High School Library is 2,393 books, totaling 7,216 copies.
InlisLite in Facilitating Reference Collection Search at Tunas Luhur High School Library
Libraries that function as information managers must be able to provide good services for users. So Senior High School Tunas Luhur applies library automation Information Technology to help problems in the Library, such as (1) Book management, (2) Library catalog, and (3) Book loan circulation services. A school library collection is several materials or information sources, both in the form of books and non-books, which are managed to benefit the teaching and learning process at school. The availability of library materials in the Library is critical to help teachers in the process of teaching and learning activities. The effect of the availability of collections in the Library for library users, especially students, is to increase interest in learning and the spirit of liberation in order to help students become achievers in both academic and non-academic fields (Mahardhani et al., 2021a). Among the INLIS LITE (Integrated Library System) services used by library users is the OPAC (Online Public Access Control) service used for information searches.
Tunas Luhur High School Library is one of the libraries that has used the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) in managing library materials and searching for information in the Library, the Library as an information system functions to store knowledge in various forms and organize it in such a way that the information needed can be found quickly and precisely. Reading reference books in the Library will likely enable knowledge claimants to apply the theory learned with practical skills related to everyday phenomena. So how can students quickly find the reference books they are looking for from the many reference books in the library collection? For this reason, the role of the online catalog in the Library (OPAC) is necessary; OPAC is one of the features of InlisLite.
This agrees with what was conveyed by Ardhana Januar Ma-hard hand, Imamatud Diana, Ario Prasetyo Aji, Maria Ulfa Nurcahyani, M. Adlan Ahmad, Yussri Ruqoiyati in their Research that OPAC is a service that functions to browse the collections owned by the Library, in this case, OPAC has the same function as an online catalog. With this OPAC, it will be easier for users to find collections available in the Library to increase enthusiasm for literacy (Mahardhani et al., 2021).
If we usually search for books by relying on book titles, through this OPAC, we can also search for books based on authors, book subjects, and so on. Sulistyo Basuki once stated the definition of OPAC; according to him, OPAC is a catalog stored on a computer that can be accessed remotely from various locations (Mulyadi, 2022).
Figure 2. OPAC front page on InlisLite
As a source of information, Tunas Luhur High School library provides thousands of library materials with various sciences. Of course, if users want to find the books they need, it is easier to use a systematic method of organizing books. Technological developments have also penetrated the library world by presenting OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue); the presence of OPAC as a means of information retrieval is undoubtedly very easy for users because it quickly and does not require a long time to find the books needed. The benefits obtained by users with OPAC are making it easier to search for information and saving time, money, and energy. As for librarians, they can make it easier to process library materials, lighten work, and library materials can be utilized more optimally. As is known, the role of OPAC is vital in the information service process. To optimize services to users, an alternative is needed, namely OPAC, as a means of retrieving information.
OPAC is the leading choice at Tunas Luhur Library in providing convenience for users. OPAC also provides convenience in cataloging, checking books, and other activities. With the OPAC, users can directly access the database owned by Tunas Luhur High School Library. The OPAC also functions to assist users in the information retrieval system in the Library. Apart from being an information retrieval system, the OPAC also functions as a means of knowing the status of the library material and the location of library materials in the Tunas Luhur High School Library.
This agrees with what was conveyed by Rovika Bidayasari in her Research that the existence of an online catalog library, users can directly use information about library materials owned by the Library. Thus OPAC functions as a means of a finding system to provide information about the status and location of collections in the Library (Bidayasari, 2020).
Thus the OPAC feature helps users quickly find references. In addition to being a system for retrieving information, the benefits of OPAC are as a place to find out information about the status or condition of a collection of library materials and where the library materials are located and in order to improve library services for visitors and librarians and also minimize the time in finding information contained in the Library.
CONCLUSION
The application of the InlisLite automation system in general and school libraries in particular is beneficial and facilitates the performance of librarians. The use of information technology in libraries is a mandate from Law No 43 of 2007, article 14, paragraph 3, that li-braries must be able to develop services by utilizing technological advances. InlisLite is a tech-nological advancement in the library field that is constantly updated with more complete fea-tures to facilitate the performance of librarians and provide excellent service to its users. If we usually look for books by relying on book titles, we can also search for books based on authors, book subjects, and so on through this OPAC. Thus, the OPAC feature helps users quickly find references. In addition to being a system for retrieving information, the benefits of OPAC are as a place to find out information about the status or condition of a collection of library materi-als and where the library materials are located and in order to improve library services for visi-tors and librarians and also minimize the time in finding information contained in the Library.
