INTRODUCTION
Background
This difficulty is caused by the psychological factor of students and the lack of creativity of teachers in teaching speaking skills in high school. Most of the students are less interested in the material and the learning methods are very boring and do not ignite the students' spirit in learning or finding problems in learning.
Problem Statement
Based on the background above, this research will focus on search entitled: "Improving students' motivation in learning speaking skills using creative problem solving in SMA Muhammadiyah 4 Makassar". This research was limited to the use of the creative problem solving to improve the students' motivation in learning speaking skills subjects to the eleventh grade student of SMA Muhammadiyah 4 Makassar. The second study by Hobri (2020) entitled ―The Effect of Jumping Task Based on Creative Problem Solving on Students' Problem Solving Ability‖.
The third study by Tambunan (2019) titled "The Effectiveness of the Problem Solving Strategy and the Scientific Approach to Students". Based on Figure 2.1, the above conceptual framework shows the process of research to improve students' motivation in learning speaking topics by applying the creative problem solving method. This research design aimed to find out the implementation of the creative problem solving concept to improve students' learning motivation in speaking skills in grade XI MIPA SMA Muhammadiyah 4 Makassar.
In this research, the independent variable was the result of the test from the use of Creative Problem Solving. The researcher concludes that there is improvement in the use of creative problem solving to improve students' motivation in learning speaking skills at XI MIPA SMA Muhammadiyah 4 Makassar. Data analysis is used to interpret data so that it can be interpreted, as well as to make inferences about the characteristics of a population based on data collected through experiments, usually based on evaluation and hypothesis testing. Descriptive statistics often serve to represent knowledge so that others can benefit from the data obtained through the analysis.
The information gathered during the data collection is then analyzed and presented in an easy to understand format. Quantitative data can be presented in the form of figures or graphical images as a result of quantitative analysis. After all the data is collected, the authors make a settlement, whether the collected data can be processed or not - separate which data can be used and which data cannot be used.
Therefore, the authors use the bivariate correlation coefficient technique, which is a statistical technique that can be used to explain the closeness of the relationship between the two variables.
FINDINGS AND DISCUSSION

There were 8 (80%) students who got a fairly good level, 2 (20%) students got a fair level, and none of the students got a bad and very bad level.
