Designed the test that will be given to the students in the test using the debate method. It means that teaching using the debate method can improve the speaking ability of the students of SMK Bajiminasa Makassar. In the first cycle, some of the students are not serious about studying because they were confused in using the question and giving the opinion through the debate method given by the writer.

The result of the implementation of cycle ll shows that the speaking ability of the students is successful and the minimum score achieved.

At the beginning of the teaching-learning process, the author greeted the students, asked about the students' condition and gave an explanation about the method and the purpose of study. This means that the students in this group successfully improved their speaking skills using the debate method.

The results of this observation to know the ability of speaking students in the learning process to know what needs to be improved to be done in the second cycle for the expected results in this study, whether the action given can make the students active, enjoy , and to know students' speaking ability in the use of asking and expressing opinions through debating methods.

Based on the results of data analysis, it is proven that the use of questioning and expressing opinions through the debate method in the learning process of teaching gives students many benefits, because they can be focused on thinking, they can be easy to speak and express their ideas, they can record, they can participate in their group and can discuss which is very effective. Asking questions and giving opinions can have a positive effect on student learning, especially speaking skills. From the above data, the author proves that the students are motivated and interested in active participation in the learning process.

The writer concluded that the use of asking and expressing opinions in the debate method is positive and can be an alternative medium in relation to students' speaking ability. It can be concluded that the debate method can peak students' enthusiasm in learning to speak. Finally, the reaction to the implementation of using question and opinion expressions through debate method was positive and would be a strategy to improve students' speaking ability in English teaching.

The things that are really suitable for teaching and giving opinions, because testing speaking ability is difficult, so researchers provide solutions that use debate in teaching, giving questions and opinions, to stimulate students' learning ability, especially the ability to speak in a way that makes them feel comfortable and interested. It means that there was a significant difference between cycle I and cycle II. It means that the research was successful.

After using questioning and expressing opinions with the debating method in teaching speaking, the students responded positively that the debating method could overcome their problems with less self-confidence and limited vocabulary.

Suggestions 59

It is also recommended that students use the role play method as one of their learning strategies to practice and improve their speaking skills. The teacher should worry about this problem that how can the students make their speaking skills good and they lose the fear, nervous when they try to speak, the teacher should convince the students that they can do it after applying this method.
