CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION 1.1 BACKGROUND
An internship prepares a student to be ready to work or can also be called practice before plunging into real world work. The writer choose Hotel Ciputra World for writer internship and located at Jl. Mayjen sungkono No. 87 – 89,Surabaya, Jawa Timur, 60224.
At there, writer learn how Kitchen work to put it simply writer have to work as a team and coordinate with each other from there writer get comfortable with the staff around then learn how to prepare ingredients , managing time , and teamwork.
After get used to the work, writer became more swiftly when working and get adept with work. There is one catch phrase that writer remember very clearly “The step to become chef is not recipe, its cleanlinest. Because cleanlinest will stay on your body when you work but recipe will change depend where are you working at.”. That phrase is from writer headchef when briefing at Hotel Ciputra World – Surabaya.
Writer get placed in Western section. Writer like the taste of Western cuisine but there is something difficult to remember and get used to and till now on writer still not completely perfect for the western ingredients because there is so many method and ingredients in Culinary Worlds.
1.2 OBJECTIVE
1. To make Student know how to work in real world 2. Get a Knowledge and Basic Skills at Work
3. Learn so many method to Cook because Cooking is not simple It need some logic to.
4. Learn how work as a team and communicate with each other.
5. Student get more independent and stop complaining about small thing.
