SHORT COURSE ISLAM IN INDONESIA PART 2

“ISLAMIC DIVERSITY IN REPONSES TO THE PANDEMIC”

Tuesday-Wednesday, 15-17 December 2020

INTRODUCTION

The Short Course’s topic of this year is “Islamic Diversity in Indonesia in Response to the Pandemic”. It is obvious that the pandemic has significantly affected the religious behaviors of the Muslim community around the world, including in Indonesia. Various Islamic organizations have different ways in addressing and directing their members, both in term of worship and other socio-religious activities. The phenomenon of how the Islamic communities in Indonesia adapt to the pandemic is certainly an interesting issue, especially for international students. Furthermore, this event is hoped will not stop at the promotion of Islam in Indonesia, but also expand the international network, and foster the interest of international students to studying Muslim community in Indonesia.
