Investigation of Code Mixing Used by EFL Students in Virtual Psycholinguistics Classroom (A Qualitative Descriptive Conducted in the Fourth Semester of English Department at Fatmawati Sukarno Bengkulu Islamic State University)”. In a virtual Psycholinguistics class at Fatmawati Sukarno Bengkulu Islamic State University, the research examined the different types of code-mixing and the variables that may lead to students doing code-mixing. This research aims to explain the code mixing used by EFL students in the Psycholinguistics virtual classroom in the Fourth Semester of the English study program at Fatmawati Sukarno Bengkulu Islamic State University.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan campur kode yang digunakan mahasiswa EFL pada kelas Psikolinguistik Virtual semester empat program studi Bahasa Inggris Universitas Islam Negeri Fatmawati Sukarno Bengkulu.

The focus of this study is on code mixing, which is used in group conversations on different platforms by the students of the fourth semester of the English Department of Islamic State University of Fatmawati Sukarno Bengkulu. What are the types of code mixing that English department students use in their virtual psycholinguistics class at UIN FAS Bengkulu? What are the factors that can cause students to codemix in the virtual Psycholinguistics class?
To find out what types of code mixes are used by English department students in their virtual psycholinguistics class at UIN FAS Bengkulu. To find out what are the factors that could make students did code mixing in the virtual Psycholinguistics class.

Code-mixing statements use parts in one language, but the speaker is speaking in another language. In most parts of the world, code mixing is a common phenomenon, especially in South Asian countries. Code mixing is a mode of communication used by speakers of a language that transfers elements or laws to their language from another language.
Meanwhile, the language code mixing is used to describe and interpret the dimensions of various language recognition. Factors that influence code mixing and code switching may include where the speech takes place and the situation.
Related Previous Studies
The writer is interested in conducting research that deals with this student code mix formulation problem. However, in this study, the researcher wanted to analyze the code mix used by the students in the Psycholinguistics class through several platforms used by the students. Additionally, the data classification sheet was used to display the types and factors that may cause students to code mix in the virtual Psycholinguistics classroom.
The researcher takes screenshots of the group conversations that contained code mixing as evidence or documentation. In the conversations on several platforms, the researcher examines the code mixing and examines the reasons for code mixing based on the theory. This chapter presents a description of the results of the research and a discussion of the types of code mixing and the factors that can cause code mixing.
Insertion, alternation, and congruent lexicalization are three types of code mixing used to analyze data. Based on the discussion of the data (1-3) above, that code-mixing can be characterized by the insertion of English words into Indonesian constructions. The researcher related all the responses to Hoffman's theory about the reason for code mixing, based on the findings of the investigation.
Students use code-mixing in conversation for a variety of purposes, one of which is to emphasize something (express solidarity). The researcher concludes that repetition for clarification is one of the reasons why students used code mixing. An analysis of code mixing in conversation of the students at State Junior High School (SMPN) 3 XIII Koto Kampar.

Research Design
In this study, descriptive qualitative analysis was applied to the researcher as they focused on a complete picture of the code mixing modes in Psycholinguistics class conversations. This research should be thorough, pay attention to matters related to students' code mixing, examine the required data, and write down the collected data according to the research objectives to conduct investigations and obtain the results. The researcher analyzed the data after the data was collected by defining the forms of code mixing and discussing the factors that caused code mixing on different platforms used in online learning or virtual meetings.

Screenshot was used to capture all the topics that contained code mixing, which is used in group chats on multiple platforms. After all the mixed expressions in all sentences have been highlighted, the researcher begins to analyze the data one by one by applying analysis of the use of six forms and three causes of code mixing. In this step, researcher showed the six types of code mixing and explained the causes of code mixing found in the virtual psycholinguistics class.
When a speaker repeats words from other languages introduced into the utterance, this is a form of repetition insertion code mixing. The second factor in students' use of code-mixing is to make the utterance clearer; this reason is similar to Hoffman's theory of using repetition for clarification, which states that when a speaker wants to clarify his or her conversation so that it is better understood by the listener, he or she may use both languages (code) that she or he possesses say the same massage. From the description above, it can be concluded that the reason why students use code mixing is a real lexical need.
This chapter draws conclusions from this research and provides some suggestions for all parties directly related to code-mixing research. The types of code-mixing used by English department students in their virtual psycholinguistics classes are word insertion, phrase insertion, baster insertion, repetition insertion, idiom/expression insertion, and clause insertion. The dominant type of code-mixing used by English department students in their virtual psycholinguistics class is insertion sentences, they use word insertion less frequently.
Factors that may cause students to code-mix in a virtual psycholinguistics class: Empathy for something used to explain and the reasons why students use code-mixing are real lexical needs. Code-switching and code-mixing: childhood language use style in a Yoruba speaking community. In quantitative studies, credibility and reliability of the research refers to how valid and reliable the results are, while in qualitative research the research outcomes are measured to ensure that they are credible, transferable confirmable and reliable. In this case, the researcher intermediate coder was used to ensure that the data of the research is credible and reliable.

In data (1) words from good good "baik-baik" the word is repeated and inserted in another language to give a description of a state. While the words from okay2 in data (2) show the meaning of the word the repetition of the word okay-okay "baik-baik", the word is inserted in another language to give a description of a state or condition. The word is inserted in another language this is a mixed code showing the term insertion.
In the data (1) the words from shareloc come from the word share location „bagikan lokasi‟ the word is an introductory clause which is then added in the native language during communication. While in the data (2) the word from I „saya‟ the word is an introductory clause which is then added in the native language during communication. In data (1) the words from the story „cerita‟ repeatedly included in the Indonesian construction Silahak dishare ke story ig dan story wa masing2 ya.
For the students from class A to class E at the fourth semesters of English study program at the State Islamic University of Fatmawati Sukarno Bengkulu always try to use code mixing especially in English because then it can help students to understand their vocabulary in a language and to improve.
RESULT AND DISCUSSION

Word insertion, phrase insertion, false insertion, repetition insertion, idiom insertion and clause insertion are the different types of insertion. The researcher uses Hoffman's theory to study the variables that cause code-mixing, such as being enthusiastic about something (expressing solidarity), to make the statement clearer and does not discover a term that has no representation in another language apart from the language itself. Sedangkan pada data (2) kata hujan 'hujan' dan tidak ada isyarat 'tidak ada isyarat' dimasukkan ke dalam konstruksi bahasa Indonesia. Di sini hujan deras sekali bu, tidak ada sinyal juga. Kemudian pada tanggal (3) cantumkan kata sahabatku tercinta 'sahabatku tercinta' dan oke 'oke' dalam konstruksi bahasa Indonesia. Iya sahabatku tercinta, kalau gak hujan nanti aku datang ya. Makian adalah bentuk bahasa asing yang disisipkan pada kata tersebut, yang sebenarnya berarti kata 'pergi ke'.
